It was one of those September days when you feel fall coming on, ready or not. I worked in the yard and garden for a bit, and saw that everything is tinged yellow or brown at the edges, past its prime. The sky was mostly overcast all day.
My husband and I took a lovely walk at our favorite local dog park. It makes Zoey so happy to romp along the trails and sniff other dogs, and dash into the bushes chasing whatever she might see -- a squirrel or a bird. Of course she never catches them.
But she did find a favorite stick. And we threw it for her a hundred times, way out into meadows of tall grasses, and she ran in and found it every time!
