I dare to share my story, from now on, and little by little, and the harvest that integrates all academic, therapeutic, experiential and spiritual paths in my life. Of that nourishing and fertile territory that I inherited as a free and autonomous daughter in my home. It is the fruit grown in my magic cauldron for more than 30 years, where healing love is cooked for every soul that seeks me with a feminine gaze as a woman, a friend of the soul.
One day I was doing my makeup when I realized that I couldn't move half of my face. BELLS' PALSY. If you have had it or know someone who has had it, you will know that, in most cases, people heal over time. But how long does this “time” last?.
When your face is paralyzed, and you can't eat normally, sleep normally (because one eye won't close) and all the other wild symptoms... all you want to know is, EXACTLY HOW LONG WILL I BE LIKE THIS?
The response of all the doctors was similar and sounded something like“ "No one really knows. For some it's weeks, for others it's months, and in some cases it just doesn't go away.” To say I was scared is an understatement!, I was despondent, dismayed and hopeless. And now how do I do to fulfill my work commitments.... Ugh
¡¡By the grace of God, she disappeared in 3 weeks!!!, I think wisdom, discipline, temperance and many things I did that I think accelerated the recovery process, but the most important conclusion I got was that the mind is POWERFUL.
I thought I was going to get rid of this thing quickly, by any means necessary. I wouldn't allow anything or anyone in my space not to support that belief. Take it as you want, but it worked for me!
I debated for a long time whether I wanted to post about this or not Mrs. Joan Stewart but here's why?, I did it in these Ladies Of Hive space.
Because, life lessons are important. I am very careful with what I put in my mind, we are what we think and achieve.
When I was going through this, my dear sisters... I couldn't believe how little information is available!!!! If anyone reading this is into this, and I can help in any way, I feel compelled to do so! Writing this post.
I always keep in mind that most of the things we experience in life are temporary! And thank God, now I can look back and laugh with joy, with a giant smile and what this journey of self-knowledge to overcome what overwhelmed me, and even made me at times distrustful and stopped believing in my strength and hope.
How is going, these 2023?
The mantra that was born from that path of rehabilitation, physiatry, self-love, where our first premise and mantra was and is: "Let no prognosis extinguish hope."
We also did a workshop where our theme was "Overcoming adversity with optimism-Resilience and not alone, in addition to many other things.
The only purpose is to live and enjoy the present with that little ray of light that still told us there is life...
We are cyclical beings, and just as nature has its seasons and the moon has its phases, as human beings we live in cyclicity, and each of those stages has a biological, psychic and emotional reason.
I don't know how I do to not lose hope...
I just know, Mrs Joan, that I'm always on the quest to be a better person, focusing every time looking for how to increase the comfort space, I always try not to be part of the herd, I try to know the two sides of a coin, make a difference with purpose product of that constant search in areas that I like to feel at ease.
Not only that, but I am not afraid of changes when I seek or promote them, I like challenges, because they always leave a learning. Furthermore, I believe in my intuition, when I fail I reevaluate the panorama.
Hope is a personal resource, and spiritual virtue, it allows me to have clarity in the meaning and purpose of life, I think it is the most relevant for my well-being and success in life.
I try as much as possible, not to lose it, it is my point of light to face the storms, and darkness, which never last forever and make me stronger, having a positive attitude, facing any difficulty in my life through courage, faith to love prosperity, is one of my main spiritual virtues, in my life.
Every road traveled leaves an experience, so you don't start at zero, one part of it has already been overcome, and we know where to cross to make it more assertive.
Stopping to listen to ourselves, recalibrates our sense of life, and our purpose.
To trust, even if one doesn't know, what?, to hold on to what we believe, without looking at those who are indifferent, apathetic, insensitive or just comfortable. To attend to and manage our emotions, to cry and cry a lot, so that the instinctive and intuitive shell of our heart does not solidify, is not to allow our soul, to dry up, wither, to become bitter, is to ignore the reigning evil, and selfishness.
My skepticism is very big, as big as my hope, if any of you the same thing happens to you raise your hand.🪬
Of course, with a noble and grateful heart always.
Happy Friday, I wish you Ladies Of Hive and to you Mrs. Joan, a good morning.
The future always starts today. We are not immortal, but while time is taking us away, let us not lose our horizons of hope.
Today I spread my wings so that I embraced hope and everything good, beautiful and positive that God gives us comes easily.
