Power
Having power is being able to control and influence people
When there’s an abuse of power, what comes to our mind is always the government but today according to our prompt we are not talking about the government but about other people around us that was given this power and they abused it
I strongly believe that the heart of men is filled with evil and greed and it’s all depend on how we handle it
I also believe that we are not perfect but each and everyday of our lives we are working towards perfection

Abuse of Power it’s happens everywhere and we can see it everyday in little things that people do
I attend a mission school and they are rules and regulations to follow and because the school authorities are not always present they gave some power to some students to take care of the school in their absent and they named those students the SUG BODIES ( students union government) these bodies are to instill discipline and punish anyone who goes against the school rules and regulations.
It’s was in these body that I witness an abuse of power
In the school we have morning and evening prayers and all students are expected to participate if not you will be punished . And we are not allowed to leave the school premises except Saturdays and should be back by 6pm or before 6pm
The first abuse of power I experienced was in my first year in school. We had this shoe and it’s a uniform ( that’s means everyone of us wears the same shoe but different sizes) when I resumed schooling the school has not given me shoe because I paid for it and the school is expected to provide it , on that faithful day I wore a sandal to school and I am not the only person wearing it a senior student saw me and one other student and stopped me and left the other person right in front of me and I was wondering what’s my offense only for her to tell me to remove my sandal and give it to her and asked her why she’s said it’s not the school shoe I tried explaining to her that school had not given me my shoes she refused, and then I summoned up the courage to ask her why my own can’t she see the other person wearing sandals I’m I the only person only for me to realize that she did not stop the other person because she knows her and I on the other hand was a stranger to her
I felt so bad , someone else that she knows had to talk to her before she gave me my wears I was so angry and bitter I felt wronged .
In order to stop these behaviors from happening or repeating itself again we should remove power from them and make them be like the others

In conclusion power can be poisonous and the people given to should learn to use it and not intimidating people
