For most people, that scenario still seems far away.
The trauma of the earthquake did not pass, it continues to be updated daily for many, demolitions, mobilizations, duels that are dimensioned as one becomes aware of the lost.
All this experience constantly, even unintentionally ends up reliving painful scenes, wounds that have not healed. Some things are inevitable, but there is a lot that can be done to make that recovery process possible.
Recovery requires conditions, emotional resources and stability. That is why from this space I want to warn that we still have to proceed with great delicacy. We have not yet seen the full dimension of what moved this tragedy mental health in my country Venezuela. At the end of the day, the truth needs no hurry... he just needs time.
Emotional intelligence does not mean to stop feeling or to become people who always have everything under control.
It means learning to recognize what is happening to us before an emotion ends up deciding for us.
Because when we do not understand what we are feeling, we can react from fear, accept situations that hurt us, keep silent to avoid conflicts. What we call "madness" today people, is actually tiredness, sadness, loneliness that is already, is too much and stretched too much.
A body that has been holding something for a long time, without anyone really asking "how are you", there comes a point when enduring it alone far from being courage, is exhaustion disguised as strength.
Life takes us exam at the same table, as many times as it takes, even when we make an order. We can have the ability to achieve things and also learn to celebrate them, before going for more, to this or.I call it having self-confidence. It is to have deep calm before what is happening to us, something like being imperturbable, which is not easy when the world we thought we knew changes our life in fractions of a second, and that is not resignation. It's the exact moment we stopped fighting a war we already lost a long time ago, como.la of wanting to control what was never ours. It is peace because we stop demanding that reality be different and there, the heart rests.
A few months ago a good friend of my family told us that he spent years angry with his boss because the boss he needed did not live up to his demands.
He lived complaining, judging anything his boss said, until he was exhausted and one day he stopped complaining and understood that he could keep fighting or accept it with resilience, and decide who he chose to be in front of what he could not change...The moral is that the power of time at some point puts everything in its place.
