[WE104] Weekend commitment concept.
Selected Topic
Name two animals, living or extinct, (other than domestic dogs and cats) that you would like to have as pets and why. They can be anything, you don't need to be sensible or serious about it, the funnier and more outrageous, the better.
Jurassic cayenne-eating iguanas
A Lacoste iguana in Maracaibo, the land of the beloved sun, I don't know if it is a small dinosaur, but it is part of Nature and part of us.... We have to respect her and I am thinking of adopting her.
I present Juana the dancer iguana like the macarena when she dances flamenco on the bark, (tablao) on the mango tree, she moves her head up and down as a sign of here I am happy like an earthworm practicing the diet of the lizard, because I eat too much.
Juana has devoured all my basil, the cayenne trees in my garden and she spends her time perched on a Malanga bush (laughs).
She poses for that beautiful photo and looks at me cautiously with a certain wink.
She spends her time walking around in full sun, but always looking for shade and contrasts as she tours my garden and orchard, being the most stealthy spy when it comes to eating everything in my garden.
She knows more secrets about my garden than I know about the walls of my house (laughs).
I know I don't work for natgeo, but it was as close as I could get to capture the image, while she acts normal trying to blend in among the only leaf left on my cayenne bush.馃尯
I have been looking for help and gardening advice to help me solve the case, my microenvironment without affecting the happy life of Juana the iguana, the cayenne eater, my temporary pet, because whatever I end up with my garden and orchard is surely gone.
The gardener told me that I should move the cayenas and protect them with a special mesh.
Juana has very good reflexes every time I approach her, she runs as fast as he runs, she looks at me with a certain mischievousness, and does not let me grab her or give me the opportunity to talk to her, so that she does not continue eating my garden (laughs).
I love her personality and step by step I am getting her to come closer to feed her with fruits to see if I can have a pleasant conversation, so she doesn't keep eating my cayenne, basil and other plants (laughs) she always runs to the microenvironment of my garden where she is very happy 馃槀.
The most impressive thing is that Juana now has two companions in the garden, two more iguanas, a handsome, elegant and stocky Male, with a well placed crest on his head, who looks at Juana with a lot of gallantry.
He is the Alpha male, his name is "Chucho" and until he eats first from the fruit platter I place for them, neither Juana nor "Comeflor", the youngest iguana in "Chucho's" harem, eat. Is this young iguana the daughter of Juana the iguana? hahaha or is it Chucho's daughter? who looks at them with an effective and very romantic look every time he approaches them. (laughs) the iguana's own gallant.
Alpha iguana Chucho is chameleonic Ha, ha, ha, but Juana doesn't miss a thing, and she raises her head erect looking for a fight or maybe she wants to be Chucho's girlfriend, she thinks she owns the territory completely because she was the one who arrived first to my garden, even though the chameleonic one has the right too.
They go to the garden and come to the terrace of my house to feed every day around noon, at lunch time. They are very punctual (laughs) the day I have not been at that time to feed them anyway, they come, look for a while (they miss me) hahaha and go back to my garden.
Comeflor, the youngest of the Harem of iguanas of Chucho, only watches and eats what Chucho and Juana leave.
Why iguanas as pets?
Really this time with them, the iguanas, made my day to day life very bearable, it is to admire how a different "Beauty" came to my garden... the great power of evolution to see how we are all living beings and even when we are different,we breathe the same air and we communicate instinctively and we manage to understand each other.
Because I like to be a pilgrim, the changes and the journey with purpose so that everything makes sense.
Stopping at every checkpoint or station in my mood...breathing, giving thanks, and moving forward.
The three iguanas are free without attachments, they are exotic, they are a different natural beauty, they learned to eat from my hand the fruits (mango fruit of the season) and now they are the mascot of the neighborhood they go where there is food and freedom for them .
They turn their heads, attentive to movements, and off they go...I like the adventure of them coming and going, the wandering between light, shadow and time.
A few days ago my dad came to visit me and when he noticed the three iguanas in the garden it seemed to him that they were not going to leave anything of my beloved microenvironment, he gave them a slap to scare them away (I was not at home).
My dad tells me he saw them run off, but they never came back. He says they went to another place to look for better quality food, probably more cayenne bushes because they love them (I'll leave this information).
As usual, my dad, every time he comes to visit me, arrives with his very practical ideas and without complicating his life, he told me it is better that your iguanas Juana, Chucho and Comeflor are free.
I share this idea with my father, it is better that they look for fruits, flowers, leaves in the gardens of the city, and be happy in their habitat mounted on the bark of the beautiful flora of the parks and squares in the city. Wisdom from my dad at 86 years old.
Today is Saturday dawn with some rain on this side of the Caribbean in South America and this juvenile little bird showed up to sing after a day of rain or was it a farewell, I don't know, he looked very juvenile serenading me.
I love to see them, but this way in the wild and not in a cage in captivity.
They say that the arrival of a little bird unexpectedly in the garden or window,is a loving sign of the spirit of someone close who wants many good things for the person he/she dresses!!!!Good omen for me...Who knows... it could have been a farewell.
On this Sunday rest I wish you a profitable day in health, in family and full of affection for the founder and team of this original concept and for all of us who are creators in this blockchain Hive for their two years of #weekendend-engagementWE104. Happy Birthday THE WEEKEND and let's keep growing.
