Whether we like it or not, we will always need others.
What a privilege it is to choose well who enters and who does not, in my life, in my mind and in my heart.
The fear of appearing insensitive can lead to hiding how we feel so as not to offend. At the moment we have built an aesthetic where there seems to be only room for pain.
But pain alone does not heal, pain alone does not help. Just because you seem moved doesn't mean you're helping.
How can we grow up and not stay in the superficiality of the moment? This question has been giving me a lot of thoughts, and I think it's key to tend that on this path it's time to help, respect but not pretend.
Anyone who wants to laugh or celebrate good things that happen to him is not attacking those who had to suffer. There are ways to express it, there is a way to be respectful. But beyond appearances, the underlying issue is, if this matters to me, am I helping?
Because if you are helping you will need strength to do it for a long time, and if not... then, you have two options: either you help or you continue with your life without pretending something, just to avoid people's disapproval.Controlling the impossible.
Wanting to control the impossible only generates frustration. And even more so when you are faced with big issues or problems that do not have an easy solution.
Sometimes we want to carry on our shoulders more than we can. And in such circumstances it is time to stop and look with humility and attentiveness... what is in my hands?
What depends on me? And start there...To face great challenges, it is necessary to start in parts. My grandmother used to say *acquired habits and patterns must be taken into account. Because * Old parrot doesn't learn to talk, she used to say... And shrimp that falls asleep? Today, above all, it dawns in paella.
Free has a cost that almost no one sees. When there is no exchange, there is no commitment either, and that becomes fiction. One thing is social work, where we give without expecting anything in return because the purpose is to serve. It is quite another to give away from the need to be recognized or to support other dependents.
Many leaders don't seek to build; they seek applause. They do not serve people; they use them to fill the void of a child who is still waiting for mom or dad's approval. That's why they promise, give, rescue and solve. Not because they believe in people, but because they need them dependent.
Every time you say to someone, “I'm giving it to you,” ask yourself what message is behind it.“I want to serve you”?Or “I want you to need me”?
True growth happens when there is a conscious exchange. Because when a person invests, he commits. When he makes a commitment, he takes responsibility. And when he takes responsibility, he transforms his life.
What is received without responsibility, almost always ends up worthless. On the ladder of these pure and hard learnings my greatest wish is that I will stop waiting for the ideal leader who will solve everything for me. I will create awareness and be responsible for understanding that Dad and mom will not come to save me either.
The key is near the nose. And yet, to recognize that there are many things that will be out of our reach, no matter how much that lesson of humility hurts us in the soul.
