Who wouldn't give what they have to go back to the time in their life when the worries were schoolwork or part-time? It's something I thought about, but when nostalgia strikes me I remember that at that time of doing schoolwork or going to midterms, I worried just like today, because I thought they were the most important problems in the world.
The truth is that each stage has its complexity, but they all revolve around order and chaos. We are always struggling between what we thought was solved and what becomes more complex and requires new structures.
By the way, between order and chaos, this is contained in the second law of thermodynamics, which talks about what is chaos becomes more complex every moment and demands of us, instead order is our response to dispel it, to make the challenges become manageable. When we overcome a stage we have a brief period of calm but quickly we are faced with new situations to solve, then we return to chaos, and so on...
Maybe our problems today seem like tomorrow's dream and that's why it's worth enjoying every moment. However, in such difficult years as 2026, we may not want to relive some things; it is valid. Above all we do not want to repeat the losses, but, I think that even in these contexts, life presented us with a challenge that we definitely have to solve, create new answers and structure that prepares us for what is to come.
I would like to keep forever...
The moments with my little daughters, the laughter of those I love, the voice of those who are no longer there, the hugs that came to the soul, the happy memories of when we were children, the wonder of new things, the sunsets with the beautiful sky, the conversations with good friends, the celebrations, the butterflies in the belly, the taste of the food that I love, the music that I like ... I try to keep this in my routine, before ending each day.
The body also keeps what we have not been able to heal. I even remember when I lived through the loss of my dad, perhaps the hardest one I've ever faced, which was also the year that I've learned and grown the most. It wasn't painless, and if you let me choose I might have preferred not to lose it, but I don't regret what I went through either. I matured, understood and developed resources that might otherwise be impossible.
I share this reflection from a very personal place, without pretending that it is absolute.
I remember when I saw a terrarium for the first time I was very surprised!... The idea of thinking about a small self-sustaining ecosystem in a small jar seemed incredible to me. I think that's how we can be, and I think that we carry in us a whole climate, system, a flourishing world and that we must take care of that internal terrarium, at least partic it to end our day, in balance, calm, and tranquility. What I am very clear about is that we are always going to be between order and chaos.
