Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. Lately, as i have more time in my hands, i find myself savoring moments of solitude and the pleasure of just reading a book in the corner with no deadlines at hand. So i thought of sharing these moments with you all as a friendly reminder to pause, breath, and relax.
One fine afternoon, i went to Oakridge Business Park in Mandaue City, Cebu, for a job interview. I brought books with me so i won't be bored just in case there are down time. The two books that i brought, Veronika Decides to Die and Eleven Minutes, are both from the same author, Paulo Coelho. I choose these books since they come very handy. Ever since i became a bookworm, i already understood that splurging on books and actually reading them are two different hobbies. Unfortunately i'm part of the former haha :D
In the end, i chose to read Veronika Decides To Die just because i got more intrigue by its plot. I read the first few pages and in an instant, i got hooked! Here are some of the quotes that i bookmarked:
"Nothing in this world happens by chance."
"It's best to accept life as it really is and not as i imagined it to be."
"Well, you decide your own fate. So you had better know the consequence of your actions."
After my job interview, i took a quick tour of the vicinity for a while with a thought that this could be my future workplace. I love that it has a calm atmosphere, restaurants, and most of all, free wifi. It has a grocery store nearby too. The only down side is the public transportation as i notice that there are very seldom Public Utility Vehicles entering the place.
It was already 5 o'clock in the afternoon and the sky is now gradient dark. I cant help but feel so much gratitude for being able to spend some alone time like this. Most of the time, i'm always in a hurry, going from one place to another. I will try to do this more often in the future for a better mental and physical space.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
