I've been working home for the past month now and honestly, it does get boring. From 9am to 6pm, I'm with my laptop learning about my new job with very little human interaction. Well, from time to time, we do have virtual calls with my supervisor to discuss about work. To say the least, with this set up, I really need to hangout with friends and family during weekends. Besides, I kinda like the idea of going out and spending time with family and friends intentionally, rather than performative.
Back when I used to work on a hybrid set up, I dread going out during weekends. I enjoy doing household chores that serves as my way of recharging.
This weekend, we were invited to a condo pre-selling showroom located in the heart of Cebu City. Our main reason for coming is really because of the free food, but also to show support to our friend who invited us.
Look at that building, isn't she beautiful?
In the food buffet setup, I found this displayed kombucha bottle. As a home Brewer myself, I filled my cup and tasted their kombucha. Its only been a few times I drank a ready made kombucha so I took my time and reassessed the taste. Like any other store bought kombucha that ive had, it's always carbonated. I wonder if they added carbon water to the brew because a naturally brewed kombucha isn't that carbonated.
Anyways, back to the condo unit, our friend toured us around their showroom and explained the amenities in details.
After which, the debate of whether owning a condo or buying a house came into light. My parents are pro house buying as they believed condos are overpriced for their floor area. While my sister's boyfriend, who lives in a condo, argued that when buying a condo, buyers are not simply buying a square-metered but also convenience and location.
I personally believe that a house should still be the first priority, while condos are for temporary living and investment.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
