During All Saints' Day and All Soul's Day, most people go back to their hometowns to visit their loved ones in the cemetery because its a long holiday in the Philippines. Personally, i took some time off from work and enjoy myself by reading books, watching Netflix, spending time with my family and friends, and of course, visiting my loved ones in the cemetery.

Prior to All Saints' Day, my mom and i went to downtown Cebu to buy red candles and incense in preparation for the All Saints' Day. Since it was a last minute preparation, a lot of people were also lining up to buy candles.

We visited the cemetery in the afternoon of November 1st. The weather was warm but the traffic was unbearable. People on the streets were selling candles and flowers. Upon arriving, the first thing we do is light candles and incense in the altar. We then say a short prayer for our loved ones as we bow 3 times. Our families and relatives then gather and spend time together.

This day, Ive come to realized that life is too short to be sad or hold grudge towards anyone. I should spend my precious time with the people who matter and spread goodness and kindness to others.

We ended the day at Titay's in Liloan and waited for the traffic to subside. My day was well spent.
