Leaving Little Jack behind, I sat by the campfire to drink a fresh cup of coffee. Afterward, I took on a ranch chore chopping firewood. Uncle approached, offered to help, and promptly made an excuse about his back before taking my seat to rest as I finished the heavy work.
Leaving Little Jack behind on the hill, I walked around the ranch searching for more daily chores to handle. Before getting to work, I noticed a quiet resting spot set up around the campfire and decided to take a seat.
Spotting a warm coffee jug resting near the embers, I checked to see if I could pour a drink. I felt glad to find it full, pouring the hot coffee directly into the personal mug John carried in his satchel.
Settling into a wooden chair, I took slow, peaceful sips, letting John enjoy a rare moment of quiet. After finishing the cup, I stood up and headed off to tackle my next ranch duty.
I found a chore that involved chopping firewood, so I planned to turn the infamous former gunslinger into a simple ranch hand. I grabbed the axe, raised it over my shoulder, and began swinging down onto the heavy wooden logs.
As I worked through the pile, Uncle wandered over to pay me a visit. He announced that he had come to lend a hand, but immediately claimed his back was in no condition to do any lifting.
Amused by his predictable nature, I watched as the old man walked right past my hard work and sank into the exact chair I had vacated moments earlier to take a break.
I continued swinging the axe without his help, steadily splitting the remaining logs until the chore was complete. Once finished, John set the axe down beside the woodpile.
Looking up across the yard, I noticed Little Jack had finally walked back down from the high ground.
Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
