After receiving a main order from Tarman aboard the DHV Magellan to destroy a communications disruptor, I rode my Tri-cruiser to a Brigand outpost. Abandoning stealth, I opened fire on the armored enemies, but after getting shocked by an electric rod, I retreated to my vehicle to rearm and heal.
I got out of the private room of the DHV Magellan to take on a main order at the terminal. My Tri-cruiser was already outside waiting for me.
I activated the terminal, and Tarman from the Magellan told me about the next ride they wanted me to bring online with the q-pid.
He mentioned that an unknown device located within a Brigand outpost north of West Fort Knot was causing connection issues, and they needed me to destroy it.
After gathering my gear and fabricating some items for the journey, I hopped onto my Tri-cruiser and rode straight out of the ship toward the Brigands base. Since the battery was fully charged, I didn't need to stop and kept riding directly to them.
The base was a lot closer than I thought. Deciding not to risk taking my Tri-cruiser right into the middle of the camp, I left it behind and approached on foot with my machine gun ready.
I didn't want to play any games with these terrorists or try stealth again since that had cost me my life last time.
There were quite a few enemies around the base. I started opening fire right away, taking down the guard on the lookout tower first.
More enemies tried to attack me from elevated positions, but I kept shooting back and took them down one by one. One enemy went back to look for me at my initial position, but since I had already changed my spot, I caught him off guard while he was moving backwards and shot him down.
Then I tried to take down another one, but he didn't go down because he was wearing head and chest armor, just like Tarman had warned. He threw an electric rod at me, but I managed to jump and dodge it at the perfect moment.
He rushed toward me, and this time I made sure to take him down.
While I was waiting for more enemies to come closer, I noticed some riding toward me on a vehicle.
I started attacking them right away, and they fired back. Suddenly, another enemy threw an electric rod when I was unprepared, and I got shocked a little.
Realizing there were a lot more coming for me, I decided to run back toward my Tri-cruiser. I needed the extra machine gun I had stored there.
I placed the machine gun on my back, equipped a blood pack, and drank some water and liquid to get my health and stamina back before getting back to the battlefield.
