John and Abigail headed to the shore after enjoying a show in town. John took Abigail out onto the lake in a small rowboat, where he proposed to her with a ring he had kept for a long time. The next morning, John woke up early to watch the sunrise.
Abigail and John walked together toward the shore after enjoying their time watching a show in town. Abigail was ready to head back home, but John persuaded her to stay out a little longer, pointing out that they rarely got the chance to spend time away from the farm together.
Abigail mentioned that she wanted to walk down to the lake for a few moments, so they continued making their way down toward the water. I was guessing John already planned to propose to her once they arrived at the lakeshore.
When they reached the edge of the water, they found a small wooden boat docked along the shore. Abigail found it a bit strange, but they decided to take the boat out onto the lake for a quick ride.
I assumed that a cinematic cutscene would take over and show John rowing the boat automatically. Instead, the game handed control back to me, and I had to manually row the boat out into the open water myself.
Once we reached a good spot in the middle of the lake, the prompt appeared, and I commanded John to propose to Abigail.
John stopped rowing, moved closer to Abigail, and asked her if she would marry him.
Abigail laughed softly and reminded him that they were already married, but John explained that he wanted to do things properly this time in front of God.
He pulled out a ring that he had been holding onto for a very long time and gently placed it on her finger.
John expressed his sincere desire to build a real life with her and promised that making her happy would make him the happiest man alive.
Abigail was deeply moved and overjoyed by his heartfelt gesture, admitting that she had never realized how much a formal proposal meant to him until that exact moment.
The two shared a sweet, romantic kiss on the boat as the quiet lake surrounded them, marking a truly special moment in their relationship.
The scene then transitioned to the next morning at the ranch. John woke up early while Abigail was still fast asleep in bed.
He quietly got out of bed and slipped into his boots without waking her up. He then walked outside into the cool morning air to begin his day.
I guided John to the edge of the property, where he stood in silence to admire a breathtaking sunrise over the open landscape.
As the sun rose over Beecher’s Hope, the mission officially wrapped up, unlocking a new chapter and a hopeful future for John and his family.
I activated the cinematic camera feature to capture the moment, cycling through different dynamic angles of John standing against the backdrop of the golden morning sky before wrapping up the session.
Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
