1️⃣ If a magic genie could grant you one — and only one — wish, what would that wish be, and why?
2️⃣ Summer, dry season, wet season, or fall — what is your favorite thing about the current season in your country and/or the thing you dislike the most about it?
Nunca se me habrían ocurrido estas preguntas, sobre todo la primera: si un genio pudiera concederme un deseo, ¿cuál sería y por qué? La verdad es que se me ocurren varias cosas, es decir, no puedo decidir pedir un solo deseo porque tengo mucho que pedir.
These questions would never have occurred to me, especially the first one: if a genie could grant me one wish, what would it be and why? The truth is, several things come to mind; I mean, I can't decide on just one wish because I have so many to wish for.
No me malentiendan, tampoco es que tenga una lista infinita de deseos, pero sí me gustaría pedir más de uno, así que la respuesta a la pregunta sería (si se le puede pedir cualquier cosa) que me concediera más de un deseo; quisiera varios, no sé cuántos en realidad, pero sí son varios y estos van conforme a las necesidades que tengo actualmente.
Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have an endless wish list, but I would like to ask for more than one, so the answer to the question would be (if you can ask for anything) that I would like more than one wish; I would like several, I don't know how many actually, but there are several and these correspond to the needs I currently have.
Como por ejemplo, terminar de salir de este gobierno corrupto que seguimos teniendo en Venezuela, que pare la guerra a nivel mundial y haya paz en todos lados, que no haya nadie pasando hambre ni exista la pobreza en el mundo, que se protejan a todos los animales de todo tipo, que me haga millonaria.
For example, to finally get rid of this corrupt government we still have in Venezuela, for the war to stop worldwide and for there to be peace everywhere, for no one to go hungry and for poverty to end in the world, for all animals of all kinds to be protected, for me to become a millionaire.
Que le dé vida y salud a mi familia, en especial a mis padres y mi hermano junto a mi cuñada. Como dije, son tantas cosas, y cada una de ellas la considero necesaria. Por lo que resulta complicado pedirle un solo deseo en sí. Pero si no se puede pedir más de uno, entonces pediría la libertad, paz y prosperidad absolutas para mi país, Venezuela.
May He grant life and health to my family, especially my parents, my brother, and my sister-in-law. As I said, there are so many things, and I consider each one necessary. Therefore, it's difficult to ask for just one wish. But if I can't ask for more than one, then I would ask for absolute freedom, peace, and prosperity for my country, Venezuela.
Para responder a la segunda pregunta, debo decir que en Venezuela sólo existen dos períodos al año, época de lluvia y época de sequía. Ambas son extremas y cuando llegan al límite es extenuante porque o hace muchísimo calor o llueve demasiado.
To answer the second question, I must say that in Venezuela, there are only two seasons a year: the rainy season and the dry season. Both are extreme, and when they reach their peak, it's exhausting because it's either incredibly hot or it rains excessively.
Por supuesto, me encanta la época de lluvia; soy team frío, pero lo que odio es que llueva demasiado, que la luz se vaya más seguido, no por los problemas regulares que presenta el país, sino por fallas eléctricas en sí que ocurren cuando el viento sopla muy fuerte y tumba una guaya o algún cable. Para repararlo pueden pasar hasta días.
Así que lo que odio es que la luz se vaya más seguido de lo normal cuando llueve muy fuerte y que dure más tiempo de lo previsto.
Of course, I love the rainy season; I'm a cold person at heart, but what I hate is when it rains too much and the power goes out more often—not because of the country's regular problems, but because of electrical failures that happen when the wind blows really hard and knocks down a power line or cable. It can take days to repair them.
So what I hate is when the power goes out more often than usual, when it rains heavily, and when the outages last longer than expected.
