Hoy estoy por aquí para compartir con ustedes un hermoso paraíso lleno de libros que visité hoy luego de bastante tiempo sin ir, se trata de la Librería Americana, la cual se ubica en el Centro Plaza un poco lejos de casa, la cual es realmente hermosa y se pueden encontrar muchas cosas interesantes, como las que verán a continuación.
Hello, my dear book-loving friends! How are you? Today I am here to share with you a beautiful paradise full of books that I visited today after a long time without going, it is the American Bookstore, which is located in Centro Plaza a little far from home, which is really beautiful and you can find many interesting things, like the ones you will see below.
Años atrás solían vender muchos libros y revistas en inglés sin embargo, desde hace varios años dejaron de traer mucha variedad. Antes de entrar a la tienda dí un vistazo a las vitrinas de afuera, y me gustó ver muchos libros que me gustan como los de wattpad de Ariana Godoy, Joana Marcús, Alex Mírez, Flor M. Salvador y Eva Muñoz, también me gustaron los de Ana de las Tejas Verdes de Lucy Maud Montgomery y Los Siete Maridos de Evelyn Lugo de Taylor Jenkins Reid los cuales no tengo todavía pero quiero comprar en un futuro. Además de estos que me llamaron la atención, también vi otros buenos como El Principito, El Monje Que Vendió Su Ferrari e Inferno.
Years ago they used to sell many books and magazines in English, however, several years ago they stopped bringing a lot of variety. Before entering the store, I took a look at the windows outside, and I liked seeing many books that I like, such as the wattpad ones by Ariana Godoy, Joana Marcús, Alex Mírez, Flor M. Salvador and Eva Muñoz, I also liked the by Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery and The Seven Husbands by Evelyn Lugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid which I don't have yet but want to buy in the future. In addition to these that caught my attention, I also saw other good ones like The Little Prince, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, and Inferno.
Una vez dentro, primero di un vistazo en la vitrina de libros infantiles ya que como saben, son mis favoritos y encontré muchos libros hermosos, como historias de Disney que me encantaron, cuentos de hadas, de los cuales me compré nuevamente la Princesa y El Guisante, ya que hace algunos meses regalé el que tenía a la niña de una amiga y también vi libros de uno de mis ilustradores favoritos Benjamín Lacombe del que también me hubiese encantado comprar pero ya los tengo. También me llamó la atención un gran libro con un perrito en la portada, iba a comprarlo pero no me alcanzó el presupuesto jajaja. En otra vitrina conseguí un libro ilustrado que me trajo muchos recuerdos llamado Art & Max de David Wiesner, del cual realicé un trabajo cuando estudié en la universidad.
Once inside, I first took a look in the children's book cabinet since, as you know, they are my favorites and I found many beautiful books, such as Disney stories that I loved, fairy tales, of which I bought again the Princess and The Pea, because a few months ago I gave the one I had to a friend's daugther and I also saw books by one of my favorite illustrators Benjamin Lacombe that I would have loved to buy but I already have them. A great book with a puppy on the cover also caught my attention, I was going to buy it but my budget didn't reach hahaha. In another showcase I got an illustrated book that brought back many memories called Art & Max by David Wiesner, of which I did a job when I studied at university.
En una vitrina de adentro hay mas variedad de libros wattpad como otros de Alex Mírez y Joana Marcús, y también de otras autoras como mi favorita Alice Kellen, de la cual vi unos que no tengo y me gustaría comprarme pronto, me entristeció no ver los últimos que han salido porque los tenían agotados pero como me dijeron que pronto llegaban nuevamente, eso significa que volveré después a buscarlos jajaja También me dio nostalgia ver libros de Harry Potter (ya que vendí mi colección hace unas semanas) y aunque ya no hay mucha variedad como antes ya que han dejado de llegar me sorprendió ver algunos libros en inglés como uno de Jojo Moyes que me pienso comprar, pero online. Otro libro que me gustó, es el Diario de Anne Frank.
In a showcase inside there is a greater variety of wattpad books such as others by Alex Mírez and Joana Marcús, and also by other authors such as my favorite Alice Kellen, of which I saw some that I do not have and would like to buy soon, I was saddened not to see the The last ones that have come out because they were out of stock but since they told me that they would arrive again soon, that means that I will come back later to look for them hahaha It also made me nostalgic to see Harry Potter books (since I sold my collection a few weeks ago) and although there are not many anymore variety as before since they have stopped arriving I was surprised to see some books in English like one by Jojo Moyes that I plan to buy, but online. También me deleité viendo muchos libros de la literatura clásica como los de Jane Austen (me enamoré de las ediciones en tapa dura de Orgullo y Prejuicio, y Sentido y Sensibilidad ya que son tapa dura y con las portadas de las películas), y me encantó la variedad que hay de libros (pero en edición tapa blanda) de historias como El Libro de La Selva, El Poema del Mio Cid, Crimen y Castigo entre otros. Y también había una pequeña vitrina de metal que contiene libros que no conozco pero, algunos se ven interesantes.
I also enjoyed looking at many classic literature books such as Jane Austen's (I fell in love with the hardcover editions of Pride and Prejudice, and Sense and Sensibility because they are hardcovers and with the covers of the films), and I loved the variety of books (but in paperback edition) of stories such as The Jungle Book, The Poem of My Cid, Crime and Punishment among others. And there was also a small metal display case that contains books that I don't know but, some of them look interesting.
El resto de las vitrinas también estaban llenas de libros interesantes los cuales les compartiré a continuación, pero la mayoría serían mas del gusto de mi mamá jajajaja les confieso que me encanta visitar esta librería ya que técnicamente es la que me hizo conocer y amar la lectura ya que cuando estudiaba venía a imprimir mis tareas a este centro comercial y aquí también empecé a comprar mi colección de revistas en inglés las cuales me encantaban porque venían con posters dentro. Recuerdo que de vez en cuando venía por algún libro y pasaba horas escogiendo, y realmente me gustó volver y no solamente recordar viejos tiempos, también me encantó reponer un libro que se me hizo difícil volver a encontrar. De verdad que la pasé genial, y me encantó compartir mi experiencia con ustedes. A continuación, les comparto el resto de los aparadores.
The rest of the showcases were also full of interesting books which I will share with you below, but most of them would be more to my mom's taste hahahaha I confess that I love visiting this bookstore since technically it's the one that made me know and love reading because when I was studying I used to print my homework at this mall and here I also started to buy my collection of magazines in English which I loved because they came with posters inside. I remember that from time to time I would come for a book and spend hours choosing, and I really liked coming back and not only remembering old times, I also loved replacing a book that was difficult for me to find again.
