Eggs, are the protein you need in your meals, and there is no better way to get them than with a fried egg. A fried egg will also give you that needed boost of energy for you to perform at your peak each day! Eggs are also great if you want to increase your metabolism and make your body work more efficiently.
You can also boil eggs, but I prefer using the frying pan method as it allows me to cook my eggs faster, giving me enough time to prepare other dishes.
You should only have one fried egg per meal. If you decide to eat two fried eggs then remember not to go overboard with it because you might end up gaining weight. Keep in mind that too much food will eventually lead to obesity, which could be very dangerous to your health in the long run. So, don't forget about portion control when eating these wonderful and healthy eggs!
A single hard-boiled egg contains around 5-6 grams of protein. Eggs contain vitamin D which is essential for bone growth. It has been shown that consuming 1 egg per day can lower cholesterol levels by 11%. The yolk of an egg contains all 9 Essential amino acids.
I noticed any day I add eggs to my meals I tend to drink lots of water throughout the day which keeps me hydrated. I don't know why but I often think this is why we are advised to eat more protein since it will help our bodies do several things cohesively throughout the day, and that makes us healthy.
So, let me spam you with different pictures of eggs on my phone.
No matter how hard I try, I am not always able to flip my fried egg without disintegrating it. I had this egg with bread. Would you believe it if I tell you that's 3 eggs? It looks small.. duhhhh.
One morning, I was so hungry, after observing 18 hours of intermittent fasting, I ran over to the kitchen and made a quick cup of rice, deciding to add a boiled egg for protein. This is called MTN Rice because of the Palm Oil used.
Now, the next rice doesn't seem to have any color and you could say I didn't add any oil, but I did. I added groundnut oil to it, with that you can only have a taste of the oil when you eat but you can't see clearly if it's there or not. (Wait, I think you will be able to see the oil linings as it tries to race all around the food, but sorry not on this photo)
Now, here are noodles with egg. That's just one egg. I wanted to practice frying noodles instead of boiling them. This method is particular to a Hausa Chef called Mishai. The only things I didn't have for this trial were carrots, cabbage, and onions ( I barely add onions to my food because I don't like them).
Did I get it right? No!!!! I added too much oil when I wanted to fry my noodles, and I ended up with oily noodles.. hehehehe.
These noodles were boiled and that's one egg too. Upon trying to flip it in the pan, I ended up scattering everything.
I hated the next noodles, I don't know why I bought them. Wait, it was cheap and I haven't had it before. I decided to taste it, and regretted it. It wasn't nice at all, I don't even remember the brand.
Thank goodness, I added scent leaves, it made eating this bearable for me.
Now, this is one egg, with my almost burnt fried yam .. lol
The rest of the photos of the egg, I took them at home, mum prepared those meals and she always laughed her heart out when I take photos before eating.. hehehehe
I know most of my shots are dark. But you have to forgive me, I like staying in a dark room with all the curtains covered. Next time, I'll remember to lift the curtains and welcome the natural light in.
How do you like your eggs? Fried? Boiled? Scrambled?
