Alfred

Alfred
My name is Alfred, I do not know who I am or where I am, this garden is everything to me, the wind guides my steps and that is how from one side to another I usually flutter without stopping, the rain is usually inclement at night, but in the day the warmth of the sun dries my cheeks and lightens my features. I don't know who gave me the gift of life, but the truth is that in my dreams I usually observe the tender look of a child who with his marker traced the lines of my face, cleaned my hair and threw me to the sky to then fall and realize that this does not seem to be a memory, it is rather a delirium or the simple need to find an answer to so many questions.
Life does not seem to be fair, I can breathe, talk, smile, see and cry, but curiously walking is not one of those abilities of my existence, because I am only a trunk with a pleasant face, but despite making a difference in relation to my species I am adrift in the world, I need legs, arms, hands and feet, because I want to live life, enjoy my surroundings and at the same time know new horizons. This garden seems to be deserted, the wind has pushed me to walk around its perimeter and in that journey I only find loneliness, oblivion and a deep despair, that is why I want my dream to come true, for that child to come to my side and completely finish his magical creation.
The days passed and everything remained the same, the wind, the rain and the sun were my only companions, since after several moons the experience had taught me all the possible tricks so that when I was dragged by the breeze I could finish my journey face up, since doing it the other way around was a real shame, because I would miss the beauty of seeing the night sky, contemplate the transition to the dawn and finally enjoy the sunset. This is how I learned not to despair, to live in gratitude for the gift I had been given and to overcome every obstacle that destiny played on me, but I never stopped dreaming of a more glorious, magical and unique future.
One cold and cloudy morning a deafening sound woke me up suddenly, it was the ringing of a bell, in a matter of seconds the sound of the voices of hundreds of children echoed everywhere, I tried to open my eyes, but when I did I only saw darkness, but in the distance I could hear the voice of my dreams, a voice that said: Albert! Albert! These vacations were long and I was already missing you, but this time I come with many more pens, tape, glue and other implements, as I will complete the work and I will make your arms, legs, clothes and a hair of many colors.
