Hello friends, today is Monday and Mondays are #ZapFicMonday!

After a few weeks without participating, today I am back in this weekly challenge that invites us to capture a scene, a story in a small space. This week the challenge is to achieve it with exactly 50 words and wow, it is very difficult!, but it is also very rewarding to achieve it.

In my creative process I write the story in my native language, Spanish, and then with the help of Google Translate I try to come up with a translation that fits the required length. There are days when I get it superfast, but there are other days when the story screams to grow more than allowed, so I change it and leave that one to work on it better, while I spin a new story for this challenge.

El accidente en la moto me dejó el cuerpo machacado, pero también la mente. Cada noche despierto sudando, veo su cara ensangrentada y sus ojos verdes, abiertos, pero apagados. Y la fisioterapeuta... creo disfruta de mi dolor, cuando me mira con esos ojos tan parecidos a los de ella.

Luego de unas cuantas semanas sin participar, hoy estoy de regreso en este reto semanal que nos invita a capturar una escena, una historia en un pequeño espacio. Esta semana el reto está en lograrlo con exactamente 50 palabras y ¡uf, es muy difícil!, pero también es muy gratificante lograrlo.

En mi proceso creativo escribo la historia en mi idioma nativo, el español y luego con ayuda del traductor de Google voy tratando llegar a una traducción que se ajuste a la extensión requerida. Hay días en los que lo consigo superrápido, pero hay otros días en los que la historia grita para crecer más de lo permitido, entonces la cambio y dejo esa para trabajarla mejor, mientras hilo una nueva historia para este reto.
