Hello dear #ShadowHunters community,
On this occasion I am joining this week鈥檚 reflections contest in its round #258.
Sometimes reflections appear in the most unexpected places, especially after a rainy night.
On this occasion, I noticed this small scene while I was walking toward the hospital early in the day. The rain from the previous night had left several puddles along the street, and as I walked, one of them caught my attention.
Inside that simple puddle, there was a reflection patiently waiting.
It was the reflection of a small cafeteria located nearby. From the angle where I was standing, the building appeared inverted in the water, as if the street itself had quietly decided to mirror the place.
This cafeteria used to have more movement some time ago. People would stop there for a quick coffee, a snack, or just a short break during the day. However, as happens with many state-run establishments in my city, the difficult times and the many crises we have been living through have slowly reduced its activity.
Today it barely opens, and most of the time it remains almost empty.
Still, in that puddle, the building seemed to regain a kind of quiet presence.
The reflection softened the scene. The slightly uneven surface of the water blurred the lines of the walls and the windows, creating an image that looked calmer than the real one standing beside the street.
It made me pause for a moment.
Reflections have that interesting quality: they allow us to see familiar places in a different way. Something that might normally pass unnoticed suddenly becomes interesting simply because the light and the water decide to collaborate.
In this case, the puddle created a small temporary mirror on the pavement. A mirror that existed only because of the rain from the night before, and that would probably disappear later in the day once the sun and the passing cars did their work.
For a brief moment, though, that quiet puddle held the image of the cafeteria, as if preserving a small fragment of the street before everything returned to normal.
That is why I decided to photograph it.
Because sometimes even the most ordinary reflections can capture a story about the places we pass every day.
Up to this point my entry for this week鈥檚 contest. The images are my property and for the English version I use DeepL Translate.

Esa cafeter铆a hace alg煤n tiempo ten铆a m谩s movimiento.
