Although I don't have cats, they always visit me in my yard, especially three cats that belong to my sister-in-law, they walk freely as if my house were also theirs, the truth is that these cats don't know where one house ends and the other begins, for them everything is the same space.
My sister-in-law treats these cats as if they were people, speaks to them affectionately, scolds them, invites them to the table. She knows in detail the whims of each one; so that they don't fight she has reserved a space in the house for each one and the cats go there as if they were going to their own room. It is surprising the relationship that exists between the cats and her. Sometimes I think that they really manage to communicate.
Each cat has her own temperament and character. Bruja is a black and white cat, very docile, she is always attentive to visitors and is the first one who comes to walk her body through people's legs. She is really docile but very capricious, there is no way she can do anything if she is not provoked, even if they tempt her with toys or food. If she is not in the mood, she stays in her place and may not move all day. When she is provoked, she can play without getting tired for as long as she wants.
At the opposite pole from Bruja is Chunga. She is a Siamese cat, with some nice brown tones, but don't be fooled by her. Chunga has an unpredictable temper. She can approach with the most tender posture, be long time in the arms or in the lap of any person and suddenly something bothers her and she gets angry, even to the point of throwing scratches.
My favourite is Fifi. She is also Siamese, a little younger than Chunga. Fifi is the most tender, sweet and loving cat I have ever met. She doesn't miss any opportunity to be carried and pampered, she gladly attends to any order given to her. She is very docile and attentive. If you spoil her once you can be sure that every time you see her she will look for you to carry her.
I don't know if everyone gets along with cats that well, but if there's one thing that's entertaining and relaxing, it's seeing how my sister-in-law treats her little girls, as she likes to call the cats.
