Saludos.

Greetings. Friend miriannalis@miriannalis leaves us this invitation to continue exploring our capabilities in the field of entrepreneurship. Let me tell you...

The first thing to consider is that we can all be entrepreneurs. There are so many ideas moving around in our minds that any one of them could be the germ of an entrepreneurial venture. But finding that particular idea may take some time, so it is necessary to take the time to meditate on what activities we feel comfortable with and what we would gladly dedicate our time and effort to.

Sometimes, because of our upbringing or the models we have received, we may doubt our creative potential. If among those closest to us the only thing we have seen are people employed by others, it is very likely that we think that we should follow the same pattern, after all that is what has given security to our environment. However, and although it is not easy, each one of us has the possibility to break with those patterns and explore new alternatives.

If we are aware that this potential is within us, waiting for the right moment to manifest itself, we can take the necessary steps to activate it. And here it is also important to be clear about our strengths and weaknesses, because it is from them that we will build the best path to undertake.

One of the questions Mirianna leaves us in the publication asks us about the conscience we have as creators... I'm going with that...

During a good part of my youth the only thing I thought about was to dedicate myself to my teaching work, there I felt comfortable and fulfilled personally and professionally, no other kind of projects crossed my mind, I was fine with that.
Then came the time of retirement and for the first time I began to consider other things. I was forty-five years old, I had some savings, enough free time and the push of my wife, who has no difficulty in undertaking any project.

One of the first ideas we came up with was a cyber café, which by the way was very successful. In the time it lasted we were able to generate good income, and it also gave us the great opportunity to learn more about the business world. It was a great experience where we enjoyed ourselves and learned to develop new perspectives. However, there came a time when the activity became exhausting and we decided to take some time to rest and evaluate other alternatives.

After the cyber we implemented new projects, some in the area of food and also in the field of handicrafts, some were more successful than others, and had different durations. But here there was something very curious. Each one of these projects was generated to take advantage of certain economic conditions.

There were times when conditions were favorable for a certain type of business, but when they changed, profitability was affected. And if an initiative is no longer profitable, it has to be abandoned, even if we are enthusiastic about it and like it. There are differences between a business aimed at producing money and a hobby that does not directly seek that kind of results.

Despite the fact that none of these experiences has been able to be maintained until today, our evaluation of them is not one of failure. On the contrary, with each of these projects we acquired more lessons, thanks to which today we know more about where we stand. They have also helped us to learn more about our strengths and weaknesses, and we have learned to assess more accurately the conditioning factors of the environment.

At present we are still exploring one thing or another, it is still difficult for us to anticipate some changes, which is undoubtedly a weakness in these times of high instability. But we are still there, learning what we need to learn and trying to find the way to surf the wave.

Thanks for your time.
