Siempre he cre铆do que las ideas abstractas cobran vida cuando se ilustran con experiencias concretas.
Aunque hab铆a progresado, a煤n no hab铆a experimentado un verdadero despertar. Segu铆a siendo emocionalmente dependiente, incapaz de escuchar mi voz interior.
Como escribi贸

Awakening, a journey of consciousness and transformation
Greetings to my friends in this wonderful community @Holos-Lotus
These days, while I was writing about the search for purpose and self-love, topics closely linked to personal development, one word kept echoing in my mind: awakening.
This concept, suggested some time ago by @angelica7, has taken on a life of its own within me, demanding to be explored. Awakening, in its most basic sense, involves opening our eyes, becoming aware that life is happening and that we are not immersed in a dream. However, it transcends the physical to become an existential shift, a rebirth of consciousness.
From my perspective as a cultural researcher and spiritual practitioner, I have dedicated years to studying the evolution of the individual. The line between personal development and spiritual growth is often blurred, but both converge at the same point: the expansion of consciousness. Therefore, I approach these topics with intellectual rigor, but also with the passion of someone who has experienced their transformative power. As Allan Kardec famously said: "True spiritual awakening is not only understanding, but feeling in the depths of the soul that we are part of something greater."
Awakening is not an isolated event, but a gradual process. It is a process, not a destiny. It does not happen overnight or in isolation, although certain key moments can accelerate it. It is about achieving the emotional maturity necessary to interpret reality more clearly, freeing oneself from illusions and conditioning.
Kardec recounts in his writings how, as a skeptical philosopher, he experienced his own spiritual awakening. One day, while stopping out of courtesy before a coffin, he heard a prayer within himself for the recently deceased. Later, he discovered that the deceased was a renowned spiritual scholar, as if that incident had been a message from the universe confirming his path. This episode marked the beginning of his transformation toward Spiritism.
I've always believed that abstract ideas come to life when illustrated by concrete experiences. Therefore, I'll share some episodes that, in my case, triggered a deeper awakening. In my post about self-love, I described how I managed to escape a situation of constant abuse.
However, I omitted many details because at the time I didn't fully understand the process I was going through. Although I had physically freed myself, emotionally I was still imprisoned by guilt and manipulation. Abusers need domination to feed their ego, and I, unknowingly, was still carrying those chains.
One night, I had a revelatory dream: my spiritual teacher and my mother were cleansing my house with abundant water. At the time, I didn't understand the meaning of astral travel or communication with subtle planes, but now I know they were purifying my path, preparing it for what was to come. A month later, without seeking it, a medium approached me and said: "Don't give everything you have; keep some for yourself, you'll need it." Her words unsettled me, not only because of their certainty, but because she seemed to have known me forever. That message resonated in my mind like an echo. Who, in another dimension, was aware of my vulnerabilities?
Two months later, in an act of courage, I finally left the home that oppressed me. However, in the midst of confusion and fear, I forgot that advice: I didn't save any strength for myself, and soon I needed it. I learned, the hard way, that those who receive are not always willing to give back, and that they can even turn against you.
Although I had made progress, I had yet to experience a true awakening. I was still emotionally dependent, unable to listen to my inner voice. Sick and consumed by fear, I even considered returning to the place I had fled.
It was then that someone appeared who, perhaps unknowingly, played a crucial role in my life: a guide who helped me awaken. We had known each other since university, twenty-five years before, and his reappearance was so timely that it couldn't have been a coincidence.
This man, an aikido master, lawyer, painter, and poet, radiated a transformative energy. One day, looking me in the eyes, he said: "Your ex manipulates you; if he owns your emotions, he owns you." His words infuriated me at first, but then forced me to look inside myself. It was true: although my body was free, my mind was still trapped on the battlefield.
That was the key moment of my awakening. As Kardec wrote: "The light does not reach those who close their eyes, but neither does it reach those who open them without the will to see." I was finally ready to see.
Since then, everything changed. I became the master of my thoughts and actions, learning to discern between my voice and the echoes of others. I understood that the universe places kindred spirits in our path, not to save us, but to remind us of our own power.
Spiritual awakening is not an end, but a beginning. It is the spark that ignites consciousness, allowing us to live with greater authenticity, compassion, and purpose. And although the path continues to present challenges, I now face them with unwavering certainty.
