Our table is now puffy-painted. Lochlan’s been on a real Puff Paint kick since trying it for the first time two days ago. It is now the first activity he wants to do each morning and he wants to continue the process each afternoon.
I want to let him do nothing but play with paints, but I find myself nervously hovering over him. Of course, it’s fine if he gets messy. He often does, but there’s only so many times in a day, and it’s. Oh who am I telling? I try to keep the paint splattering to a minimum, but maybe I shouldn’t care at all. Just… he dips his sleeve in the paint but doesn’t want rolled up sleeves.
He’s just a funny kiddo. He’s exceptionally wonderful. Lately he’s been climbing up the walls. I mean, he wants me to hold him perpendicular to the wall and then he walks his feet upward as I lift.
These are the kinds of magical things you can do when you have people in your life who are ten times your size… well, 6 times.
It’s something we lose as we get bigger, which is sad, really. I wonder if the world would feel more magical to me if there were someone who could spin me and twirl me and toss me in the air and help me climb the wall. It’d just be… nice.
I want to be stronger so I can do those things, but it’s just so dang hard.
I wish,,, a lot of things. I think it’d be nice to have a room that was an exercise room in a house… Maybe the basement, which is just concrete… I mean, I don’t have this room, but if I did, it could. Er. Be.
