So we were in the capital last week, and we spent a night at the Presa, our favorite pet-friendly transient house, managed by Mom's school friend. That I learned during our first stay. While paying for our room, she looked at me for a moment, then hesitantly asked if I was her old friend's daughter, mentioning my mother's name. "I thought so. You are the spitting image of her," she said, smiling warmly. Then went on to share how she loved my mom and always leaned on her back then.

"What a small world," I thought, thankful to have met a soul who not only knows Mom but also adores her.

Anyway, while there, we took a ton of snapshots, not of the place but of our little guy, who seems to be feeling at home. Here (and in the top photo), he was relaxing and enjoying the sunshine on the balcony.

Weirdly enough, his fear of heights seems to disappear whenever he's here. It was a gradual process though. He was scared at first, but pushed himself, stretching his legs, going a little further each time, until he is able to walk into the edge without his body shaking. It's nice to see him at ease by himself out there.

Him and his reflection on the glass door.

Him resting on the couch on Thursday night.

Snooping around the throw pillows after his warm bath. He refuses to have his hair (fur) blow dried.

The next morning, he was excited to climb the stairs to the rooftop garden.

Here he was attentively listening to Dada's morning ramblings馃榿

And this was him asking for his dental stick (Dentastix).

He got one, of course!

Looking back at us when we said good morning.

We had a lot more shots, but these are enough for today馃槉 So cheers to a breezy Thursday!
