Welcome to the Jungle :)
Not quite what you may have expected, lol!
Some nice stones on the track
Guavas!
"Hey dahling," he said then took a snap
A lil valley and the farms
Let's walk a little farther
Aah... those beautiful mountains!
After having lunch with the family and relatives on the 24th, we decided to go to an Eco Park which they say was just 25 minutes drive from where we were at that time. After driving for a while, we kind of got lost along the way. Turned out we get past the area and drove all the way somewhere else. The guys who were at the back seat didn't say any word, lol!
Anyway, we pulled over by the roadside and called the other car (it went far ahead than us, lol) to inform them we are way past the intended destination. While waiting for them to come back, we bumped into a place called "Tree Park." Sorry, we forgot to take photos of the tiny gate. We were probably too anxious to get in, haha!
The farmboy's aunt called us out when she noticed the gate was open so we went for a walk. Surprisingly, the park didn't look like one nor had much trees around as one would think or assume from the name. I was expecting to say hello to different species or varieties of trees to be honest. We did see guavas fruiting and some other shrubs. Perhaps they are yet to turn it into a real tree park, I wonder. One thing we noticed though is that the area is clean so it's good!
We enjoyed some nice views from there - the mountains and hills seen across are simply magnificent with their jagged backs. And also viewed from there was a little valley with some farms - rice paddies obviously. There was a smoke even! One of the guys asked, "there's watwat down there, should we go?" There's a common joke around here that when there's smoke elsewhere, people would tease a pig is getting butchered and that there's going to be some free chow (food or watwat as they put it), LOL!
Nah, they were burning some farm debris by the looks of it😅
The track was quite long and would lead us down yet we turned around. We would have stayed a little longer and perhaps seen more of the place but because the old folks were rushing to get back, we had to leave. It was a short adventure as we had only been there for about 25 minutes but a pleasant one nonetheless.
The visit to the Eco Park was no more and when the other car arrived, we immediately drove back to the lunch place where everyone but us started to pick up their stuff, bade goodbye then drove away. Perhaps there will be a next time? We shall see as the husband is insinuating to go for another escapade down there and farther anytime soon.
