Magandang buhay馃挍

The world-renowned Dutch DJ, Martin Garrix, dominated my airwaves most of yesterday afternoon. His high-energy progressive tracks had my adrenaline pumping, keeping me awake, tapping my feet, raising my arms, and humming along pretty loudly, much to the hubby's amusement.

The first one below starts grounded in Ed Sheeran's warm, classic pop style, then the energy shifts as Garrix introduces a signature snare-drum roll. Sheeran鈥檚 vocals climb, building tension as he belts out the pre-hook. The track doesn't allow you to just sit and listen. It invites you to sing along and move (dance) too.

Martin Garrix ft. Ed Sheeran - Repeat It

This track has an interesting story. It was conceived in Amsterdam 12 years ago. The artists met up and spent the night partying. They bonded instantly and decided to hit the studio the next day, where they wrote and recorded a vocal demo titled Rewind Repeat It. Legal issues with both artists' record labels prevented its official release.

However, the two artists surprised the world when they finally put it out in May this year to celebrate Garrix's 30th birthday. Info says Ed Sheeran's original 2014 youthful voice was preserved, and only the instrumental was rebuilt completely from scratch to match the modern 2026 style.

I thought this track would have been a waste if it stayed lost forever.

Anyway, on to the next: the first-ever collaboration with Swedish vocalist Kristoffer Fogelmark, more popularly known as Bonn.

Martin Garrix ft Bonn - High on Life

Released in 2018, this timeless piece remains one of Garrix鈥檚 most iconic, emotionally charged progressive house festival anthems. Bonn's initial delivery was minimalist, then his raw, soulful, and raspy vocals soared, building intense emotion. The melody is incredibly uplifting. The tempo provides a rhythmic heartbeat that invites you to raise your arms and sing along, especially in the chorus.

"And I'd walk a million miles just to see you smile 'til the day I die..."

The collaboration proved successful, and they went on to create another.

Martin Garrix ft. Bonn - No Sleep

As with the previous tune, the instrumentation here is stripped back at the beginning鈥攐pening with a gentle, melodic acoustic guitar riff and a soft, organic piano chord progression that anchors Bonn's signature raspy, emotionally charged vocals.

The song then builds, soars, and explodes into a massive festival drop that gives you that "move-your-body" feeling. Aah, the ultimate musical roller coaster, and nobody does it quite like Garrix. It's always nice to listen to his music. And I must confess his oldest, absolute masterpiece beat drop, Animals, is still on my playlist.

And there goes my three for this week's TTT initiative by Ablaze. Have a fun and wiggly Tuesday!馃槉
