Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!
πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈβ˜ΊοΈπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
It is #wednesdaywalk #43 of 2026, and for this week I went over to Cole Park (downtown Corpus Christi).
But first I want to thank tattoodjay@tattoodjay for this community - #wednesdaywalk ,
"Thank You"!

First, while I was at the old house I saw that the Violets were blooming so I took a few photos.
This one was out in the Sun somewhat,

And this was amongst some leaves,

I wanted to share these two photos with you, although not really part of my walk - I did take them today! And while taking them I got the idea to visit Cole Park as I wanted to see what if anything had changed in the last few weeks - which I will show you in a moment.
So first, this is a look across Corpus Christi Bay, and as you can see a Storm is blowing in,

And actually it was drizzling by the time I left the Park!

This is a look North along the Shoreline with the downtown area in the background,

Walking around I passed these Birds on a light pole, I liked how they were all lined up!

This is a look at "one" of the Children's play areas from a distance,

And so... When I was here a few weeks ago they had an area fenced-off as they were building something. Well this is what it is,

Yes, another play area. This area has running water (during specified times) everywhere! All of those things in the background are Sprinklers!

Here's one I thought was "different", there are two of these,

This is another one. In the background is the Corpus Christi Amphitheatre and one of the hospitals,

All of the grass you see around the Sprinklers is fake and rubberized as well, BTW.

This is another Children's play area,

And the far edge of it - all the blue area is rubberized,

At this point it just began to sprinkle. This is a look South down the Shoreline from the other side of the Park,

Well - In closing, me and others here (older folks) are really wondering about all this money (millions) that they are spending to keep building children's areas. Now a nice environment for children to grow up in is important, I grant you that - however the other side is there is no money for many other things. And also it is just plain odd! It looks (almost) like someone has a friend in City Hall that grants them contracts to build "Children's Zones". I am not against children or against myself and I am not the only person noticing this...
Oh well, right?
And...
That was my #wednesdaywalk this week,
I want to thank you again for your visit - "Stay Blessed, Safe, and Happy"!
Please Take Care of Your Loved Ones, "All - Ways"
