We have been busy with the final preparations for tomorrow's occasion. Some family members from the city arrived late in the afternoon, so we had a chill time. We also played with their kids while my niblings, including the Farmboy made dinner.
It would have been a perfect time for my Yongi to meet his cousins, but he is not very friendly. I had to keep him in the house while we spent most of the afternoon at Dad's. I am afraid he might bite someone, because he can be very aggressive with people. He still growls at my father, my brother, and any other human, or anything that moves, even the birds, and the hogs (to be butchered tomorrow).
The vet suspects someone may have treated him badly before, so he is now very defensive. But he had always been with the hubby and me, ever since we got him, and he was never maltreated.
Although I remember that his aggressiveness started when we attended a wake, and he saw a couple of dogs along the street where we parked. He kept barking then, and I felt he was very tense. We always bring him everywhere we go, and he was usually quiet, just observing. Some people can hold him then, and he liked it. But this time, he wouldn't let anybody else come close. He'd snarl and howl, even when someone is 10+ meters away.
I was hopeful he would be tamed a bit after he was neutered, but that didn't happen. Instead, his bad temper seems to have multiplied, lol! It makes me wonder what we might have done wrong for him to become like that. The other vet (whom we checked with) said we "baby'd" (pampered) him a little too much.
Aah, that I'm guilty馃槉
So, yep, I doubt he would have a chance to play with people tomorrow (sadly).
Smile... laugh often... love more... be grateful always!
