Hello, everyone! I hope the day is going well for you :)
Today, I decided to make my first post in this community after just lurking around for sometime :) And since it is Wednesday, I thought about sharing a walk that happened sometime in December in another place called Sitio Minac.
We attended the wake of my husband's aunt where we traveled about 4 hours and reached the village around evening time. The following morning, the husband invited me for a walk down the road. It was a bit gloomy that day but it was warm.
We were fascinated by the art on the waiting shed so we marveled at them for some time and then headed down for our wee adventure.
It is amazing that people there love art, plants and well, recycling too.
The husband then walked ahead while I took more shots, one was this road which we were about to embark on and there he was, taking photos too, lol!
The small village is nestled between mountains and its main road is one where motorists from nearby provinces pass by. There were fruit trees around like bananas, avocados and papaya.
Walking farther down the curve, we arrived at a gasoline station which was closed at that time. "The owners must love jeeps," the husband mused looking around. There were a few of these old owner type jeeps in the place.
We took time capturing photos of them and the reflection of the road too on a mirror.
We then walked back to where the waiting shed was, took more photographs before treading the pathway alongside a small creek.
There were flowers blooming beautifully along the fence like these bougainvilleas and some others.
We found a bridge farther up and there I saw for the first time (believe it or not), a Star Apple (Caimito) Tree! For 4 decades, I was only able to lay my eyes on them at that time, lol!
And some ferns or whatever leaves these were, drying (dying) on a stone wall.
It was a walk to remember as it was our first time in that village and the people were just amazing too. One resident even encouraged us to take more photos of her plants which we gratefully obliged.
And even her lovely dog was caught on cam :)
