I've been dating this guy for a year now. He loves me, and I know I also do same for him. But the issue is he had just betrayed by trust. There was actually a girl he was close to before we seriously got dating, and when I asked if the girl was his girlfriend, he told me she was his sister (cousin). At a time I had a chat with the girl via social media. She knew me so well and before I could say anything, she stated that my guy was her elder brother(cousin). Even adding that she would like to see me in person as my guy had told her so much nice things about me. That made me chill out that they are actually close relative.
I kept my background watch, only to discover recently that, that girl was his ex-girlfriend. He tried very hard to deny, but to no avail. Then he finally opened up that she was his ex-girlfriend, but they had loosened ties, and the girl requested that they continued as 'just friends' but she calls him her boo, and he says it's just because that's how they normally play before they broke up. Now, my trust for this guy is now zero percent, despite the love and I'm calling it off, due to the prolonged deception. Don't know if I'm taking it too far. Please advise me.
