I cut through the heavy fog to reach Tokyo Tower, where a Hannya ambushed me and pulled me into a terrifying realm. There, I had to face Tsuchigumo, where I died initially but returned stronger. By targeting its exposed glowing cores, I defeated the creature and freed the spirit from the Hannya.
I cut through the thick fog, witnessing the Rinko leaving this realm as I made my way toward Tokyo Tower. I knew Hannya was waiting for me there, so I pushed forward to see what was in store.
As I moved through the area, another cutscene triggered. Someone threw a massive rock toward Akito, but he managed to dodge it just in time.
That was when this Hannya appeared, that I thought the very same enemy who had attacked Akito earlier while cutting through the fog but its a different one. KK mentioned that there was no way we could avoid fighting her this time.
This version of Hannya looked significantly stronger than the others, and before I could react, she pulled me directly into another realm.
It was a terrifying encounter against a giant, scary monster that looked like a massive spider with a witch's face. I noticed several glowing cores exposed across the creature's body, so I focused all my attacks on those vulnerable spots.
Despite my best efforts, the beast proved to be too overwhelming during our first clash. It caught me off guard and defeated me while I was still trying to figure out its attack patterns.
After losing the fight, I respawned back inside a store. Thankfully, I got to keep all my powers. I immediately prepared myself to head straight back to face the monster again, hoping I could pull off a victory this time around.
When I arrived back at the arena, the same cutscene played over again without any option to skip it at first. However, I soon realized I could actually skip through it, saving me some precious time.
I charged into the battle with a much clearer strategy, hitting the creature harder and dodging its incoming attacks more efficiently. I could tell I was doing considerably better because the monster became stunned early in the fight.
I rushed in, grabbed one of its cores, and tore it right out. I thought that single blow had taken the beast down for good, but it managed to recover. It returned to the fight without that core.
Without those primary weak spots exposed, I was not entirely sure how I was supposed to hit it effectively. The creature grew far more furious in this second phase, thrashing around the area with increasing speed.
Later, another glowing core appeared on its body. I seized the opportunity, dodged its aggressive swings, and pulled the remaining core out directly from its frame. The monster collapsed into the ground, completely defeated.
I was thrilled that my strategy worked, as I honestly did not think I would be able to take down such a formidable boss so quickly. Right after the battle ended, we found the fallen body of the Hannya lying motionless on the ground.
KK mentioned that he would pull the spirit out of her body to end her misery once and for all. As soon as KK performed the action, the physical vessel completely dissolved into thin air, leaving the path forward clear.
We'll continue in another post.
