I continued clearing spirits across Tokyo streets. After using a talisman to eliminate a stealthy Student of Pain from afar, I lured and defeated a Rain Slasher. I grappled to a Tengu and moved to the rooftops where I spotted a mysterious flock of crows hovering nearby.
Continuing my ghost hunting through the moonlit streets of Tokyo, the city felt slightly quieter, with fewer hostile spirits roaming after all the demons I had already cleared.
A sudden movement caught my eye, a Student of Pain patrolling a quiet corner. I tried creeping up for a stealth takedown, but she caught my movement and gave chase.
I broke line of sight, playing hide-and-seek around a nearby wall until she lost interest and drifted back to her post just as rain began falling over the neon-lit city.
Flanking around another alley to approach from behind, I closed the distance quietly. Even without a head or eyes, she seemed focused on a spot nearby, completely unaware of my presence.
Fearing a close-range attack might prove fatal, I pulled a binding talisman and hurled it from a distance, completely vaporized her before she could react.
Resuming the hunt, I spotted a Rain Slasher guarding a deserted intersection alone. Opening Photo Mode to snap a few shots, the flash drew her attention immediately, and she charged at me.
I backed down the street to lure her out, but putting too much distance between us caused her to vanish and reset back to her origin point.
Returning to the intersection, I lined up another camera shot, drawing her out for a second time.
This time I held my ground, firing off elemental weaving to break her defenses, opening her chest, and ripping out her core to banish her for good.
Scanning the area for high ground, I spotted a Tengu hovering near the roof of a building. Launching a spirit thread to grapple onto the creature, I pulled myself up into the skyline and glided across the rooftops.
Looking out over the rain-slicked roofs, I noticed a dense flock of crows circling tightly above a nearby structure. I'm curious to see what's the issue about that spot but I'll uncover that mystery later.
