After leaving the shrine, I encountered a lost spirit blocked by a dark hole. Tracking it to a haunted house, I battled demons, uncovered a Specter, and fought through a nightmarish realm. Ultimately, I defeated the Specter, banishing the evil and lifting the curse from the house.
I left the shrine and began making my way toward the Kagerie Observation Deck. Along the path, I encountered a lone spirit who seemed lost and distressed. He wanted nothing more than to return to his house, but a massive black hole swallowing everything in sight and preventing him from entering.
This turned into a side quest, so I tracked down the house to investigate. When I arrived, I saw the dark hole that suddenly vanished as I got closer, and a group of demons tried to block my path. I had to clear them out before I could step foot inside.
Inside the house, the atmosphere was incredibly heavy. It felt like something was intentionally toying with me; objects shifted and the air felt distorted. I realized I needed to smoke out the source of the corruption, so I performed a series of hand seals to force the entity to reveal itself.
The evil spirit was clever, it slipped away from my initial seals and retreated into a mirror in the bathroom. I followed it and used my hand seals again, focusing my energy on the glass to shatter its hiding spot. Once again, the spirit was too quick and escaped into the upper levels of the house.
The situation turned truly creepy as I headed upstairs; doors began slamming shut and opening on their own in a rhythmic, haunting way. Using KK's power, I finally forced the spirit to manifest. It was a Specter, and it looked absolutely malevolent.
The Spectre mocked me, claiming that everything in this house, and even our own souls belonged to him. With a bone-chilling laugh, he warped the fabric of the room and pulled us into a distorted, alternate reality. I found myself standing in a nightmare realm where a fresh wave of demons was already waiting to tear me apart.
I realized I had to defeat every single enemy in this nightmare realm to escape. Knowing it would be a grueling battle, I went on the offensive immediately. The demons were aggressive, and the distorted environment made it difficult to keep track of their movements, but I started picking them off one by one.
Just when I thought I was making progress, more of them materialized, increasing the pressure and making the fight even harder. I didn't let up, though. I kept pushing through the chaos, using my powers to counter their attacks until the last of them was finally defeated.
With his minions gone, I had to face the Specter himself. He was desperate and didn't want to lose his hold over the house or me, but he was no match for the strength I'd gained. I unleashed a final surge of energy and took care of him, banishing the evil spirit for good and broke the curse.
