I encountered a floating giant demon causing a sudden snowstorm. Remaining hidden behind cover, I repeatedly shot the monster with arrows while it searched for me. After firing eleven shots, I finally defeated it, absorbed the nearby spirits into my katashiro, and bought replacement arrows from a Nekomata shopkeeper.
When I walked outside and began looking for more enemies, I suddenly noticed a strange demon that appeared entirely new to me. I took cover behind a structure, intending to capture a clear shot of the creature using photo mode while waiting for it to move closer.
Left playing as Akito, I stayed hidden as the floating entity hovered through the area. It resembled a giant figure draped in long white robes, drifting suspended above the ground rather than walking.
I waited in the shadows, hoping to set up a stealth attack once it drew near, entirely uncertain of how much effort it would take to defeat such a foe. The demon altered its route and drifted toward another section of the street. I decided to advance cautiously and bring the fight directly to it.
Keeping a safe distance, I noticed sudden snowflakes falling around us and realized this floating monster was actively generating a localized snowstorm. Its movements remained slow and unpredictable, making its exact trajectory difficult to read as I stalked it through the mist.
As I closed in, the demon nearly spotted me, causing the weather around us to shift as rain mixed into the freezing storm. I decided to test its defenses by firing an arrow from cover. The projectile struck true, and I immediately pulled back behind my barrier before it could pinpoint my location.
The demon began searching the immediate area, but my solid cover kept me completely hidden.
I fired a second and third arrow in steady succession. Despite taking multiple hits, the creature remained on its feet and continued to roam the area in search of the attacker.
I loosed a fourth and then a fifth arrow. The monster appeared thoroughly confused, unable to determine where the incoming fire originated.
On one of my subsequent shots, it nearly caught a glimpse of me, barely giving me enough time to duck back into the safety of the shadows.
It ultimately took eleven arrows to bring the massive demon down, but the creature finally vanished into thin air.
Defeating this single entity cleared a major intersection, revealing a group of stray spirits floating nearby. I stepped out from cover and absorbed the spirits into my katashiro.
Having depleted a large portion of my ammunition during the engagement, I located a nearby shop to restock. I approached the counter to wake up the sleeping Nekomata vendor and purchased eleven new arrows to refill my quiver. I'm now fully prepared to hunt down the next threat.
