Hellooo! Here's the part 3 of my Cebu trip experience with my Manila friends! In case you missed it, I also shared about our Day 1 and Day 2! This post will be about our Day 3, our last day. On our 3rd day, we planned on doing just chill stuff and pasalubong-shopping, since the night of the same day was also my friends' flight back to Manila. Mine was still in a few days after.
Our itinerary this day were the spots in Busay area, namely, Sirao Garden and Temple of Leah. We were supposed to go to one more place but decided to forego that. But first, we had breakfast at Dimsum Break.
It was supposedly a pretty chill day, especially since the spots weren't crowded. However, my friends felt sore on the different parts of their body, especially their legs! If you've read about our Day 2, then you would know that both of them went canyoneering, and this, my friends, was the result. Haha! Sore legs + steps needed in Sirao? Not the most ideal combination. Haha
As someone who has visited Sirao in its "earlier days," I would say that it was much better before its renovation. Before, it really felt like a garden… like you were one with nature. No added man-made attractions, and just the picturesque view of the mountains and rows of flowers. In this recent visit, for some reason, I felt suffocated despite being outdoors. The place felt too tight. Oh well, maybe it's just me. For sure there are also people who like this present version of Sirao. :)
From Sirao Garden, we headed to Temple of Leah. Fun fact: my friends and I visited Temple of Leah when we first had our Cebu Trip way back 2015. But the funny thing is that we didn't know that it wasn't yet open back then. So from Mountain View, we went there, only to be welcomed by a still under-construction temple. Hahahaha. It was such a fail visit, but we still took pictures outside. So this time, on our second visit, the 3 of us has this inside joke, "We've seen you at your worst, now you are at your best," inspired by a famous movie line. Haha. And of course, we cannot not recreate our photo then!
Somehow, we felt like Temple of Leah has a curse on us because even though it was already open this time around, however, it suddenly rained! And not just rain. It was downpour! We were outside when this happened so imagine our panic while looking for an area to keep us dry. Haha! Good thing it didn't last that long, so we were still about to walk around the area.
After our Busay area trip, we went back to the city and had lunch at My Joy- Ayala branch. I quickly dropped by the grocery as well to get some ingredients for fruit salad because I would be going directly to my overnight plan with my HS Cebu friends. We also went to Tabuan Market to get some danggit and dried mango for pasalubong.
After that, we drove towards Lapu-lapu, where we had one of my craziest, most nerve-wracking, and most panic-inciting experiences ever. I would just keep the details to ourselves though. Haha. Anyway, we dropped by Mactan Shrine, were my friend wanted to buy something, before heading to the place where my HS friends and I would stay for the night, which was just around the area.
My Manila friends stayed at the house for just a few minutes and then headed to the airport already to catch their night flight back to Manila.
By the way, here's my favorite photo of us during this entire trip. This was taken at Temple of Leah. I super love how we accidentally captured the birds flying by! I was so surprised and giddy when I saw this picture. So perfect!
Love you, N and P! Until our next adventure together! ❤️
Thank you for reading until here!
Stay sane and safe!
Let's spread happiness.
