Hello everyone! It has indeed been a long time since I posted here, and it’s actually good to be back! This is @lorene08, sharing another exciting blog with you guys🥰
Last May 18, 2026, me and my circle of friends, or as our friends called our group, “rainbowpopzzz,” had our summer outing. It was actually an outing for us to celebrate our graduation—a way of celebrating that we finally survived Senior High School and also a way for us to bond before we went our separate ways to reach our dreams and start our college life.
It was actually very hard to schedule the date because some of us were not available on certain days. The outing had already been moved many times, and thankfully, we finally set it for May 18. But sadly, we were not complete during this bonding(we are literally never complete, guys). But we had no choice but to continue with the plan because some of us would already be busy with our own plans in the following weeks and months.
We arrived at San Remigio Beach Club at exactly around 10:40 a.m., and some of our friends were still late, so we just paid the entrance fee for the swimming pool. We were very excited at this time because there were barely any people in the pool area. Like, it felt like we booked a private pool! AHAHAHAHAHA.
While waiting for our other friends who were late (Aj was late as usual, while Kim said she would just come in the afternoon since she had some errands to do), we just made some trending TikTok videos for fun and took pictures as well. We also applied sunscreen to our faces and bodies because it was super hot at this time. Some of us bought drinks outside the beach, while some of us were getting the food out of our bags.
By almost 12 noon, that was when we finally decided to swim. It was already so hot around the pool area HAHAHAHA! But we went for it because we were the only ones swimming there. Khirstine, Sharmae, Micah, and I were the first ones to swim, while Jam was the one taking pictures and videos of us. During this time, he was still hesitant to go into the pool because he had just colored his hair the other day HAHAHAHAHA!
It was a simple and fun time swimming around the pool, even though we felt like we were being fried by the heat. But it was still fun because we got to catch up with each other, share random stories and gossip, and just enjoy our time together. It was also fun because we stayed in the deeper part of the pool.
After some time, maybe around 1 p.m. or almost 2 p.m., we had our lunch, and our very late friend, Aj, finally arrived. We had a simple lunch. Micah cooked her specialty, which never disappoints because it was very yummy—the chicken cordon! We also had roasted chicken brought by some of our other friends, along with soft drinks, water, and French fries that I also cooked. I think there were only a few fries left or they were already gone by this time because we had already eaten so much.
We just rested for a while after eating, then it was time to swim again—the people were ready to go😭😭 It was already so hot because it was afternoon, and even the pool water felt warm. But we still enjoyed it because moments like this don’t happen all the time.
After some more chatting, we immediately went to the basketball and volleyball area, which was a part of the beach where there were some simple activities. We had fun shooting the basketball, taking turns, and just playing around. After that, we went swimming again.
Eventually, Jam and Aj finally went swimming in the pool, and we got jealous because Aj and Sharmae went down the slide at the deepest part of the pool.
Not long after, I stopped swimming because my face was starting to get red. But hehe, I didn’t get sunburned the day after our outing, guys! I also felt like I had gotten so much darker by that time😭
After I changed clothes, Kim finally arrived, and it was already almost 4 p.m. when she got there😭😭
Then, we bought ice cream since it was our afternoon snack. Aj, Jam, and I took some pictures after eating our snacks. Not long after, since it was already getting late, we finally took a group picture before going home😭😭
Before I end this blog, here's a little bit realization of mine or some kind of lesson from this day🫂
This outing reminded me that we don’t always need a perfect plan or a complete group to make good memories. Sometimes, the simple moments with the people we care about are already enough.
We may soon be going to different colleges, meeting new people, and following different paths, but this simple outing will always be one of those memories that we can look back on and smile about. It also reminded me to enjoy every moment while we still have the chance because we never know when everyone will be free again.
To my rainbowpopzzz, thank you for making this simple outing fun and memorable🥹🫶🏻Even though we weren’t complete, I’m still happy that we got to spend one more day together before starting a new chapter in our lives.
Until our next outing, guys! Hopefully, we’ll finally be complete next time🥹🤞🏻
