Regarding all this coronavirus mess, the Vietnamese government also start to implement the lockdown. Here in Da Nang, from 28.03 all places like cafes, restaurants and public places may close their doors in order to avoid agglomeration. So, yesterday, was the last day I could have some freedom doing one of the things that I like most: trying new places of food. I decided to celebrate it by going to try some tacos with a friend. He really recommended this place, so, we went there last night to enjoy life and forget for a while that we are living on this crazy times!
Taco Ngon
Taco Ngon is a very simple place, but their tacos are delicious. Basically you have four flavors: ginger lime, tamarind barbecue, yogurt salsa, and wasabi coleslaw. After choosing your flavor, you can choose the meat which can be pork, fish or chicken. They also have the vegetarian option which can be tofu or potatoes.
Each taco costs 39.000 Vietnamese dongs (less than US$ 2,00) and they are simply delicious!
They also have lots of promotions like, eat 4 tacos and have tequila for free! And they celebrate the customers who eat more in the place… Like they have a picture of one guy who was able to eat 20 tacos! If you wanna break the historical record you can visit this place almost on starvation…
Ginger lime & Tamarind Barbecue
The tacos look really good on the menu, so I tried fish ginger lime, which I consider, was the perfect combination! The fish is super crunchy inside and the ginger-lime dressing gives it some delicious freshness!
I also try chicken with tamarind barbecue. U-lah lah! Another great combination! The dressing is a bit spicy and really fits well with the chicken!
All the tacos come with a great salad of cabbage which is also fresh and delicious! I guess in the next days I’ll miss my freedom and also these tacos!
If you’re in Da Nang, Vietnam and want to try something which is not local, but it is really tasty and delicious, I super recommend this place!
