There's literally hundreds of traits that would fall into the valuable category and although some might feel more important than others, I believe if it's a valuable trait then you need to at least be making an effort to imbibing it in yourself.

For this the three traits I feel would make a lot of difference is the world are Patience, Integrity and Compassion (My 3 PIC'S/PICKS FOR THE TOPIC 😆).

What's beautiful about traits is that in a way they are usually superimposed into one another. Take integrity for instance, a person with good integrity would imply that he's a honest person. Compassion would also imply that the individual radiates love and care.

Here goes the countdown to my 3 PIC

PATIENCE
Patience was so good a virtue, that it had to have it's own phrase Patience is a virtue.

I can't remember exactly where I first saw the words The P in parent is for Patience but as funny as that phrase is, patience is something that I have tried to emulate as much as possible.

There's really so much going on in our lives these days. That unpaid house rent, electricity bills, dream job, struggle to feed, there's just so many bills running through the head of an average person on the street.
What this has caused is that we're so much inside our heads, that our interaction with the world is always in a rush.

Take a typical Monday morning at a bus stop in Lagos, everybody is going somewhere and in a hurry. A situation that might've easily been overlooked on a Saturday morning will easily turn to an open brawl if it happened on a Monday morning because there's a lot of impatience to even see the other person's point of view.

I know of many times where impatience didn't allow people get the true picture of what's going on and they already overreacted before realizing they'd been mistaken.

INTEGRITY
Is there any better feeling in the world than the feeling of knowing your presence isn't needed for your actions to speak for you.

More than once I'm sure we've all been in situations where our integrity is put to the test and somehow it's total strangers that'll come up and vouch for you as a person of good character.

You never know who's watching is something I saw in a spy movie. The fact that you might not realize that your good character is being watched by others and even when you're not there, they'll readily step up to defend you from defamation.

If it already looks like shit, smells like shit, then you probably shouldn't be tasting it. The same can be said for integrity, if it looks shady and can put your integrity into question, then you need to be miles away from it.

And finally we have

COMPASSION
The biggest thing I love about this trait is that although it shows you love and care about other people, but it doesn't necessarily mean love the way we use the word to describe people were familiar with.

Compassion is just that awareness of the problems and suffering of others and that desire to do something to alleviate it.
You don't have to love someone to show compassion, but the act itself comes from a place of love.

If more people decide to be compassionate to others, many of the problems we have would drastically reduce because everyone is looking out for the other person.

I hope you enjoyed reading up till this point. What are your favorite virtues?
