I absolutely love this Taiwanese snack called Tempura ( 甜不辣)!
Have you tried it before?
In Malaysia, there is a chained food shop from Taiwan perhaps in most shopping mall's selling this. I first tried it when I was a college student with my roommate maybe 17 years ago and I still like it ever since.
It is called Shihlin Taiwanese Street Snacks!
I FOUND A NEWLY OPENED OUTLET IN A MALL I SELDOM VISIT - ATRIA SHOPPING MALL WHEN I PICKED UP MY NEPHEW'S BIRTHDAY PRESENT ON BEHALF OF MY PARENTS.
Before I went in, I scanned their promo bundles first on the banners at the entrance.
Then I went to the cashier and scanned the menu but in the end I ordered the thing I most familiar with - Tempura!
Here is a big pot of something I was contemplating to have -the oyster mee sua but so sorry I did not dare to capture the photo of another customer's order.
Here is where the shop staff do their deep frying for the chicken chops, plum fries, tempura etc.
Hahaha the sign in the shop says, Skip a heartbeat with every bite.
I think my tempura was done frying and he was preparing it.
All kinds of seasoning powder depending on us wanting it spicy or not.
Yay I got it!
I waited till I reached my car to savour it!
Its texture is a but chewy and it is made of flour. Fried to perfection and seasoned with so much tasty seasonings!
Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum, I like it!
