Anyone here loves FRIED CHICKEN? Well if my firstborn is here, he will surely raise his hand high and goes, "Me! Me! Me!"

He has requested for fried chicken from me though we could buy it outside from restaurants. I saw I still have a good of chicken fillet cut nicely. So I decided to cook it the way the son likes.

Usually I go even more elaborate by adding in cut shallots and garlic and Turmeric powder too. But I was feeling a bit lazy hence I used this fried chicken powder thar I have with the brand Seri Aji. Not the beat of brands but I wanted to finish the powder before it expires.

The packaging instructions gave me a suggestion of mixing the powder with water to form a batter as the first dip. Then let the chicken fillet sit for a while and then coat it again with the same powder, dry. I have excess of the powder so I decided to give it a try. After the 2nd round dipping and coating, let the chicken fillet sit for a good 5 minutes before frying it.

I used the air fryer to fry and cook the inside of the chicken at 190C for 15 minutes. I wanted the crispy texture on the outer skin so I knew I needed to pan fry it one by one in shallow oil. It was rather easy to be done if the oil in the pan is hot enough.

Last but not least, use some kitchen towel to drain out the excess oil . The boys and the husband were so happy to be eating this the other day. I too thought it was delicious.

Just look at the beautiful golden brown fried fillets! Looks so enticing and inviting right?

Do you have any special techniques in frying chicken? Share with me! I like boneless fillets as they are just so much more convenient and have more meat!
