The weather in Malaysia in the recent months is recently not a joke. Situated along the equator, I think we are experiencing the most extreme weather under the blazing hot sun 🔥.

I wanted to bring my boys out for a picnic actually but thinking of the possibility of heat stroke made me put off the idea. Still, as written in my previous post, we have made some preps like making our own dumplings from home.

Suddenly I had the idea of just having the air conditioner in the hall on and we could camp at home instead!

We have a home tent that is easily assembled and we used to open it up at our balcony when there was cool weather. Hence, we could set up the tent and picnic mat now in the comfort of our home and have a different setting for lunch! Sounds like a great idea? My boys were excited for it. Sometimes just a simple change makes life a little livelier.

I went down to my car to bring up my picnic mat and I started to set up bit by bit. Took out our foldable table, and the best thing about camping and having a picnic at home is ......

You don't need to worry you have too many things to carry to your picnic spot!!!! You get what I mean?

I can move anything I want from one corner of my house to the "campsite" in the hall. I can slowly take my time to set things up. I can take my drinks from the fridge so they can always be cold and chilled! Hahahaha!

We ate our lunch which was some air-fried dumplings made by the firstborn, some boiled dumplings by yours truly, some homemade pizza by my youngest, some Japanese curry with white rice, some chicken fries, some honey cherry tomatoes, yoghurt drink, Milo (Malaysian chocolate malt drink), and even Yakult drink.

That was a pleasant lunch spent under the cooling air-conditioner. Sometimes my youngest even went into the tent to laze a while with the portable fan blowing at him. I am sure it was very cozy for them because it made the living hall become so different and they could have like a private space for themselves.
