A Day In My Life: A Slow and Simple Day At Home..
I woke up at 7 AM today without an alarm. The sun was already peeking through my curtains, and for once, I didn't rush.
I started my morning with a quiet cup of coffee on the veranda. No phone, no notifications, just me and the morning air. The birds were chirping, and the neighborhood was still peaceful. It's rare to have this kind of calm, so I really enjoyed it.
After coffee, I watered my plants. I have a small garden with a few flowers and vegetables. I talked to them like they were my friends, which sounds funny, but it makes me happy. One of my sunflowers finally bloomed, and it made my whole morning.
Around 10 AM, I decided to clean my room. I played some music, opened the windows, and started organizing. I found old notebooks, pictures, and even a letter from high school. I laughed at how dramatic I was back then.
Lunch was simple β just fried rice and egg. I ate while watching a movie I had been saving for a weekend like this. No pressure to do anything big.
In the afternoon, I took a walk around our barangay. I saw kids playing, neighbors chatting, and the sky was so blue. I stopped by a small store to buy some ice candy, and it tasted exactly like my childhood.
I came home at 5 PM, took a shower, and cooked dinner early. As the sun set, I sat outside again and just watched the sky turn orange and pink.
It was not a productive day. I didn't earn much, I didn't finish a long to-do list. But it was a happy, quiet, slow day. And sometimes, that's exactly what we need..
