Please excuse this terrible breach of #beersaturday protocol by posting on a Friday night but I have a decent excuse.
See yesterday was Thanksgiving and this year I hosted my octogenarian parents for the feast. Now this was no easy task seeing as they live over six hours away by car. On Monday I drove up to pick them up and along the way got stuck in a traffic jam that lasted for over an hour and a half turning that six hours into almost 8 hours of driving.
The next day we piled into the car for a fun family road trip back to my home. Now this was great fun driving. My father brought me up to speed on all his ailments and medications while my mother, who I don't think has been more than two miles from her house since the beginning of COVID, kept gasping in terror with each passing tractor-trailer.
So you can imagine the great fun it was returning home.
So yesterday everyone had a wonderful time and my parents had a wonderful visit with their grandkids who they have not seen two years. But tomorrow, I get to hit the road again! And will not return until Sunday which is really too late to do a #beersaturday post.
So I would rather be early than late!

TRIVIA TIME
So even though I am posting on Friday, I have a #beersaturday tradition of asking a Trivia Question in sincere gratitude for any of you who have stuck it out thus far.
The first person to answer correctly in the COMMENTS earns a BEER TOKEN. God willing and the token is working!
QUESTION: The Eagle is the symbol of the United States of America. What bird did Benjamin Franklin suggest to be the national symbol for the United States?
Good luck!
See y'all next #beersaturday on Saturday, God willing and I am not stuck in a week long traffic jam!
