Saxapahaw Lager brewed by Haw River Farmhouse located in of course Saxapahaw, North Carolina.
The name of the town, Saxapahaw is a combination of two words in the Catawban language, sax meaning "hill" and yapha meaning "step".
The Catawban language is part of the Eastern branch of the Siouan languages. The last known speaker died sometime prior to 1960. The Western branch of the Siouan language is still spoken by many tribes including the Crow and the Souix.
And thus endeth the history and the linguistics lessons for this post.
Has all this heavy thinking got you a little thirsty?
Saxapahaw Lager is brewed with 100% North Carolina grown barley and malted right here in the Old North State. The lager is freshly brewed and is clean drinkin' (at least that is what the can says).

Yep! "twelve fluid ounces of pure deliciousness" and "one seriously crushable beer". It says so right there on the can!
It's not bragging if it is true!
Hey did y'all know that "crushable" is not actually a word? But the phrase "y'all" actually passes the spellcheck feature. I think that "crushable" is a word or at least should be a word. I think HIVE needs to update the spell check feature to include the word CRUSHABLE!
Ain't that funny.
The word "ain't" even passes the spellcheck but not crushable?????????
I am getting lost in linguistics and spellchecks while drinking a totally crushable beer!
See Y'All next #BEERSATURDAY.
