Just under the Vestrahorn mountain in southeastern Iceland is a Viking village I visited Thea weather on that day was quite awful and very rainy but we still took the short walk to it.

To your knowledge, the village isn't the real Viking village where they once lived. This is a replica, built-in 2010 for the movie but the movie never happened and this place got never filmed. NOw the village is still there and a great place to see what a Viking settlement looked like in the past.

Over the years it has gotten even more real because wind and rain have done their job.

It was hard to move there because the ground was so wet and some river crossed through the village.

We weren't able to access any of the buildings ( don't know if I should be able to ), possibly there is nothing in them.

In the yard, there was a raven on the pole, just standing and screaming. I wonder what did he say.

Even though, it's not a real village. This is a really good replica and gives you a good point of view of how they once lived in that time period.
