I saw the bee arriving on the flower, and as usual, I took some shots of it.
In here you will see the dancing bee (4 shots), then a developing rose (1 shot), and then some lovely flowers (5 shots).
This is just the way that I work, as I always have some story in my mind when I download my camera on the PC at home. That bee for instance continued to bop up and down without sitting on the flower. I knew that it was collecting pollen into the sacks on its legs, as these types of flowers don't produce any nectar. But it was just great to see it at work, and it really looked that it was dancing.
The flower type is called a Sour Fig Succulent.
I used the rose as a line break in one of my recent posts, and I will do so now again to show its progress, as the two orange rosebuds still had a green color on the two rose buds. Now they have turned orange. As soon as they open up, there will be three roses on that single stem.
Right, now below I will show you the other flowers.
A lovely collection of a Golden Disa of the Orchid family. This is the straight up one at the left of the picture (2 shots).
A closer look at the Disa flower as each petal has a purple cap with white petals below the purple cap.
The flower petals turn a golden color over a period, and thankfully my wife had an example in her dried flower collection.
And now some shots of the Wood Irises. (2 shots).
I cannot walk long distances anymore, and I found these flowers on a short walk at a coffee house. They also have my favorite Jasmin flowers with the heavenly scent over there, but the jasmins are past their blooming season. We always pick a bunch of them to keep in our car, as it causes a nice smell in the car when we take a drive.
It is now late spring season here, and at last we saw our first dragonfly, and you will never guess where we saw it. I will not tell you now, as you will have to wait for the dragonfly post. All that I can say is that it is not an ordinary dragonfly, and it was a first time for me to get it on camera.
Such is life.
I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
