I like how this LOH question is about Saturday and I'm here answering to the question on a cold Saturday morning. And if all the money I spent on that Saturday would return to me the next day, I would use the money in a way that might appear a bit strange on the statement of my bank report.
What I will first do is to book a whole cinema and screen photographs from my personal life, not a movie. Going through my old device and this, I discovered that I have a lot of pictures that are important but have not properly looked at, from magnificent building sketches, meals, some ideas I just came up with but are unfinished, family pictures, and some other pictures too. And in that moment, I would sit alone, maybe with my notebook, and slowly watch my years pass. Because I have forgotten to go back and check a lot of things just because I became too occupied living them.
The other thing I would do is to hire a craft man and make just one object for me. I will not call it an unnecessary object, though. I will just be in the form of a signature wooden chair that is made and designed around my exact body and height and just how I sit, and it will have my name inscribed somewhere underneath it. Because owning something that is not produced in large numbers for someone else. And that is part of what having an unlimited budget can give me: attention rather than status.
And the last thing would probably be to do something unusual in a way that I will book a studio section where I can record and spend the rest of the evening from home as I record ordinary sounds with a metallic spoon beating against a frying pan or pot, the gate opening, the sound of rain against the roof, and the sound of a washing machine and generator. All these with no music being played. Just me and those sounds; I might miss one day without realizing I had lost time. And I will also do it for myself, something I've been delaying doing for a long time now, and that is not an expensive watch or a car but my personal library filled with all sorts of architectural books that would help my career more and also other books I probably know nothing about.
On a Saturday like that, I won't show off but I'll do those things and even more that comes to when when the "unlimited budget" comes because that alone feels closer to having everything.
