¡Comienza un nuevo reto! 😊 Como la entrada de esta semana se enfoca en el maquillaje me siento más cómoda jeje... No es porque sea la más experimentada, sino por ser un área que me gusta y que he venido aprendiendo desde que estoy en Hive. Así que hoy les comparto esta creación inspirada en el Agua 💧

A new challenge begins! 😊 Since this week's post focuses on makeup I feel more comfortable hehe.... It's not because I'm the most experienced, but because it's an area I love and have been learning since I've been on Hive. So today I'm sharing with you this creation inspired by Water 💧

Una vez tuve claro lo que quería hacer, salí a comprar las cosas que necesitaba para crear mi tocado, entre las que verán un cintillo, unas flores artificiales y silicón en barra. Gasté un aproximado de $3.5.

Once I knew what I wanted to do, I went out to buy the things I needed to create my headpiece, among which you will see a headband, some artificial flowers and silicone stick. I spent about $3.5.

Ahora, seguro se preguntarán por qué escogí el agua como inspiración, y la verdad es que fue lo primero que se vino a mi mente por ser un recurso natural vital, y que lamentablemente muchas personas no le dan la importancia que merece.

Debo retroceder en el tiempo a mi niñez, cuando mi mamá peleaba con nosotros para que fuéramos más cuidadosos con el uso del agua, pues ella se crió en un barrio de Caracas donde no contaban con este servicio y debían hacer cola en un chorrito de la zona para cargar sus baldes. ¿Incómodo no?

Now, I'm sure you're wondering why I chose water as inspiration, and the truth is that it was the first thing that came to my mind because it is a non-renewable resource, and unfortunately many people do not give it the importance it deserves.

I must go back in time to my childhood, when my mother fought with us to be more careful with the use of water, because she grew up in a neighborhood of Caracas where they did not have this service and had to queue at a local water fountain to carry their buckets. Inconvenient, isn't it?

Y siendo adolescente veía sus reflexiones al respecto con fastidio, pero con el tiempo entendí que cuidar el consumo y uso del agua es un tema de vida o muerte, por más fuerte o exagerado que se escuche. Ya me ha tocado vivir en carne propia con el acceso restringido a este recurso, pues aquí en Maturín hay zonas con un servicio muy deficiente, así que ya pueden imaginarse todos los baldes que me ha tocado cargar y lo experta que soy bañándome con tobito 😅

El hecho es que gracias a mi crianza y experiencia he venido adquiriendo conciencia sobre este tema, pero me sorprende cuánta gente que pasa por lo mismo, sigue sin reflexionar. Un caso muy cercano es que en la zona donde vivo se dañó la bomba y pasamos 2 meses con acceso al vital líquido solo 2 veces al día, entonces no habían pasado ni 2 semanas cuando se logró solucionar el problema y mi vecino estaba barriendo su frente con la manguera 🤬 ¿Entienden mi disgusto?

As a teenager, I watched his reflections on the matter with annoyance, but with time I understood that taking care of the consumption and use of water is a matter of life or death, no matter how loud or exaggerated it may sound. I have already had to live in the flesh with restricted access to this resource, because here in Maturin there are areas with a very poor service, so you can imagine all the buckets I have had to carry and how expert I am bathing with buckets 😅

The fact is that thanks to my upbringing and experience I have become aware of this issue, but I am surprised how many people who go through the same thing, still do not think about it. A very close case is that in the area where I live the pump was damaged and we spent 2 months with access to the vital liquid only 2 times a day, then not even 2 weeks had passed when the problem was solved and my neighbor was sweeping his front with the hose 🤬 Do you understand my displeasure?

El llamado que hago hoy es para analizar cómo estamos haciendo uso del agua, qué tantos métodos de ahorro llevamos a cabo diariamente, y por supuesto, cómo podemos mejorar. En lo personal siempre estoy atenta a los pequeños detalles como:

Al cepillarme solo abro la llave para enjuagarme la boca.
Si me lavo el cabello cierro la llave al momento de aplicar el shampoo.
Al lavar los platos primero mojo todos, cierro la llave mientras aplico el jabón, y la abro para enjuagar de una vez.
Cuando me toca limpiar la parte de afuera de mi casa utilizo una escoba aparte, nunca lo hago con manguera.
Cuando camino por la urbanización siempre estoy pendiente de si hay tuberías rotas que reportar al condominio.

The call I am making today is to analyze how we are using water, how many water saving methods we use on a daily basis, and of course, how we can improve. Personally, I am always attentive to small details such as:

When brushing my teeth, I only turn on the faucet to rinse my mouth.
If I wash my hair, I turn off the faucet when applying shampoo.
When washing dishes, I wet them all first, turn off the faucet while applying the soap, and turn it on to rinse them all at once.
When it is my turn to clean the outside of my house I use a separate broom, I never use the hose.
When I walk around the development I am always on the lookout for broken pipes to report to the condo.

Así que mi propuesta es una representación de la madre naturaleza, donde el agua tiene el papel de protagonista. Podrán ver qué realicé la sesión de fotos en 2 ambientes tanto en interior como exterior, utilizando en el segundo caso un vestido estampado con escote.

So my proposal is a representation of mother nature, where water has the role of protagonist. You can see that I made the photo shoot in 2 environments both indoors and outdoors, using in the second case a printed dress with neckline.
