Desde all铆 pod铆an ver a las chicas que se sentaron en los delanteros.
-隆Soy Germain! 鈥揈xclam贸 el joven, extendiendo su mano.
Sus amigos hab铆an desaparecido y no reconoc铆an el lugar en que se encontraban.
Los d铆as segu铆an transcurriendo y el amor era tan inmenso que no les preocupaba esa nueva vida; no quer铆an saber de nada m谩s.

鈥揑ndicaba a toda voz un se帽or de la estaci贸n.

Germain and some friends decided to visit the Encanto train in the city of Los Teques, Venezuela, for its famous tunnels.
They all arrived excitedly at Los Lagos station and boarded the last car. Excitement and joy filled each of the passengers.
The three boys were included in that group of cheerful young men and the presence of many beautiful girls made the event unbeatable.
Everyone was warm because of the extreme cold of the mountainous city. The sun was shining beautifully, but it failed to warm the bodies of the young people, but this did not dampen the fun.
The whistle blew three times and the cars began their journey. The seven-kilometer adventure began, with five bridges and seven tunnels that awaited a mysterious charm.
As Jorge, Jesus, Gabo and Germain were boarding the wagon, they sought to sit in the last seats. From there they could see the girls who sat in the front seats.
Germain was spellbound by a beautiful brunette with a bright smile, black hair and caramel-colored eyes. In his mind was the process of figuring out how to approach her.
Laughter, loud talking, together with the sounds of the locomotive and the rolling of the cars, flooded the atmosphere. To this was added the cold air that caressed the faces and a green landscape that sweetened the eyes.
They reached the first tunnel, the light was absent and the nervous screams came out. The sun shone as they exited the tunnel and the journey did not stop. Everyone saw each other's faces as if to find out who had shouted.
The second tunnel arrived and the darkness was present again, but this time accompanied by disorder and laughter; the screams were also felt.
As we exited the tunnel, not only was the sunlight shining, but also the brightness of smiles. The vast majority had changed seats. Germain had appeared two seats away from the brunette and she had noticed.
They entered the third tunnel and again many followed the game of changing places.
Germain appeared next to the brunette.
-I am Germain! -exclaimed the young man, extending his hand.
She, somewhat shyly, gave up her hand and in a soft voice said his name:
-Carmen, I am Carmen.
In the next tunnel, the mess of the game increased, the laughter rose in volume, but Carmen and Germain seemed to be in another universe; nothing disturbed them. They had started a conversation that kept them out of the commotion.
In the fifth tunnel, their hands met and they talked about their dreams. She expressed that she wanted to see Paris and he told her that his dream was to go there with her, that if they both wanted it badly enough it would come true.
-It would be safer if the desire was accompanied by a kiss in the last tunnel. -expressed the young man.
As they entered the seventh tunnel flooded with darkness, nothing was heard, no laughter, no commotion, everything was immensely quiet. Carmen and Germain were in a passionate kiss that culminated with the arrival of the light at the end of the tunnel. This light was so bright that they could see practically nothing, no image could be perceived.
When their eyes could see, they heard a uniformed man announcing in accented French that they had arrived at the Gare de Lyon station.
All the passengers got off the wagon, and none of them were known to the couple. Their friends had disappeared and they did not recognize where they were. And to get their attention even more, they could understand and speak the French language.
Their wishes had come true, they were in the capital of the world, in the city of light, Paris, and right in the celebration of the great universal fair of the year 1900.
Carmen's heart was racing with the excitement of living her dream, Germain was looking for a logical answer to what was happening, but at the same time enjoying what he was seeing.
As they left the station, they both looked into each other's eyes and felt that time had stopped. They looked at each other for a long time, without saying a word, until finally, Germain broke the silence.
-Carmen, why don't we go explore the city together?
Carmen nodded enthusiastically and the two set off. They began by strolling along the boulevards, admiring the picturesque buildings and the horse-drawn carriages in contrast to the automobiles of the day. Then they stopped for coffee in a small cafe on the banks of the Seine. During the coffee, they told each other all their secrets and Carmen realized that she was falling in love with Germain.
Surprised they arrived at a place that was their home, questions were on their minds, but they did not want to spoil what was happening.
Then Carmen and Germain went to the Princes' Park. They sat on a bench and enjoyed the romantic scenery of the park as the afternoon wore on. At that moment, Germain took Carmen's hand and said:
-I love you, Carmen!
She looked into Germain's eyes and smiled. She was happy. Finally, she had found love. She went up to him and kissed him. But she still didn't understand why they were in Paris and not in Los Teques.
Carmen and Germain spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening together, enjoying the magic of Paris. From that night on, their love grew stronger and they got to know each other better.
The days went by and the love was so immense that they were not worried about this new life; they did not want to know about anything else.

At first, they were embarrassed to show their affection for each other in public, but the love they felt soon overcame their embarrassment. They began to embrace in squares and stroll hand in hand in the street. Carmen enjoyed the warm evenings aboard boats, with the sunlight reflecting on the Seine. Germain bought her a small flower, to which she gave a name. Together, they discovered the secret districts of Paris, to find a terrace from which to appreciate the sunsets. They strolled along the Eiffel Tower, sat on the Place des Innocents, and enjoyed the view from the hill of Montmartre.
They were so absorbed in each other that they soon forgot all the problems of the world. Every moment was an adventure for them. They shared wine and food in small bistros, visited museums, and enjoyed the culture of Paris. Germain improvised songs for Carmen under the moonlight. They were in love and made all the streets of Paris witness their love.
One day, Carmen and Germain were enjoying the park when, suddenly, Carmen got lost in her thoughts and walked too close to the riverbank. Before she knew it, she had fallen into the water.
Germain jumped into the water to rescue her, but the water was cold and she was moving fast. Fortunately, Germain managed to reach her in time and pulled her out of the water. When they returned to shore, they held each other tightly. The fear of getting lost had been at its peak. At that moment Germain proposed to Carmen and she happily accepted.
A few months later, Carmen and Germain were married in a small ceremony at Notre Dame Cathedral. They celebrated their love forever and took oaths of eternal love.
Coming out of the cathedral, a very bright, heavenly light, very similar to the one they saw in the train carriage, left them dazzled.
-Get down, get down, you have arrived at the Encanto station. -A man at the station was shouting at the top of his voice.
Even today, you can still feel the love in the atmosphere when the elders tell about Carmen and Germain.
Many say that they can still be heard on the railroad tracks, their laughter in love, and that their love is proof that true love can survive anything.
