Last July 28th of this year Venezuela held elections under an exceptional characteristic, the vigilance of a government that claims to be democratic, but in its actions demonstrates the opposite.
In 25 years we have lived through a communist-socialist revolution that has brought nothing good to the country. In reality, what it has caused is a complete deterioration of the nation, and where we see that it has reduced the income of each citizen making their quality of life plummet. In addition, it has divided families because some of its members have different political views and it has destroyed them because most of its members have had to emigrate to look for a better future, and a better quality of life.
In [past] elections the results have been announced verbally by the president of the entity in charge within hours of the closing of the voting tables and shortly after these results have been published and in 24 hours an audit has been made.
But in these recent elections, something was different. The official candidate had no chance of winning. He represented the continuity of the revolution, of ineptitude and repression, and the opposition candidate represented the future of prosperity and peace.
The results given by the electoral body gave the winner to the ruling party. Nobody believed this nonsense. Each one of us Venezuelans who voted for a change felt that we were being robbed right under our noses and the opposition leaders expressed it forcefully.
The people exploded as expected and took to the streets. Repression appeared and up to the moment I am writing these lines it is being brutal.
The opposition has presented evidence that it won and the ruling party has not demonstrated anything to say that it won. This has been taken to the international community, but once again organizations such as the OAS and/or the UN have shown that they are like a vase on a table, a string of inept people who do not provide solutions. What is the use of that shit?
Venezuelans do not know what to do, we are tired of 25 years and oppression of not being able to live as it should be. We feel that we are living the most disgusting thing that a human being can live, to be under the gaze of the repression of the oppressor, the dictator, the tyrant, of a leadership that governs the country taking us to constant misery without being able to get ahead where public services are useless, where education is of a very poor quality, hospitals without supplies. This is unbearable and if you express your discontent, if you do not agree, you run the risk of going to jail or worse, losing your life.
To this date, the government has furiously brought out all its armed power to put an end to the protests, but to avoid being accused of crimes against humanity, it has resorted to the complicity of another dictatorial country that has sent mercenary troops to exterminate anyone who is expressing dissatisfaction with the fraud. These troops that threaten the people are the black wasps of Cuba. It is even said that the mercenaries of the Russian Wagner group are here.
Writing these lines of catharsis may be somewhat harmful. I am not a politician, I am not a leader of any political, social, or religious organization. I am just a Venezuelan who wants to live in peace with the opportunity to be prosperous thanks to the effort of my work, I just want to be happy with my united family.
When I feel so much impotence, there is nothing else to do but to make catharsis by writing and that is why I have approached this community. I would like to say any number of expletives and vulgarities to let off steam, but my readers don't deserve that. Thank you for reading me.
I only hope that the universe in its majestic movement is complicit so that all of us who live in this country can do so in peace.
